"Awesome owners!"

5 of 5

We didn't stay at the Babble-On. However, we met the owners while in San Francisco. This couple is awesome and I can guarantee that if they own it, it is awesome, too!

"Wonderful time at Babble-On"

5 of 5

We stayed at Babble On for 4 nights in July 2016 and had a wonderful time. The house is exactly as advertised. The location is great -- just a few minutes from Anderson Redwoods (a must see!), a lovely 30 minutes drive to the coast (there are lovely beaches and bluff trails just south of Jenner), not too far from wineries and a decent drive from the Bay Area. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large, and the house was clean. We appreciated the large and functional kitchen and used the gas grill on the deck and the washer/dryer on the porch. We hung out (and ate most meals) on the back deck that overlooks the seasonal creek, relaxed on the hammock and decompressed in the hot tub. We also made good use of the WIFI, TV and DVD Player and free long distance calls. The house is 5 minutes from town down a narrow road, but the directions were great. The Safeway in Guerneville is large and well stocked. We ate most of our meals at the house but did enjoy a nice lunch on the patio at the Garden Grill in town.

"Wonderful"

5 of 5

To be honest, we were a bit concerned driving up to the place because the roads seemed to be getting smaller and smaller and the area more remote (not something we are used to). But as soon as I stepped inside the door, my worries eased. This is a wonderful place to stay. They have used the space well. It is so peaceful and tranquil! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

"Awesome!!"

We rented BabbleOn for 9 days, and if we could have we would have just moved there foreever ;)Really nice and quiet place, close to a lot of vineyards which is awesome. Close to the ocean, not that far from SF. What else can you ask for?

"Charming, Cozy, Peaceful,...perfect!"

A warm, cozy cottage along a quiet, secluded, wooded road. Friendly, efficient booking and payment process. All around, a great place to stay.

"This place is peaceful and beautiful."

4 of 5

We all thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in the Babble-On cabin. The kitchen had all of the tools to help us create wonderful meals. The rest of the house was very comfortable. We loved the fact that our dogs were welcome. Your proximity to the river was a big plus as well as town so that we could easily pick up a few things that we forgot to bring. We are looking forward to planning another trip in the future.

Manager Response:

Thanks for the review. We're glad you enjoyed Babble-On and the area and hope you'll be back! -Rachel

"Beautiful Retreat"

5 of 5

Babble-On was a very nice place to spend a long weekend. It is incredibly convenient to armstrong Redwood State Park, the coast, and a variety of wineries. The house was well-maintained, clean, and comfortable.

Manager Response:

Thanks for the review. We're so glad you enjoyed Babble-On, especially as a launching place for the many activities in the area. Please do come back! -Rachel, Russian River Getaways

"Getaway to Funfilled Weekend!"

4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay tremendously at Babble-On in Guerneville. The house was wonderful, from the secluded front yard, to the beautifully decorated home, to the back deck overlooking the babbling brook. It was extremely comfortable and inviting, perfect for the 3 adults and two small dogs in our party. We spent our days walking through the redwoods, playing in the river, and driving to the ocean, enjoyed some fabulous meals in Guerneville and Monte Rio, and spent the nights gambling at Graton and River Rocks Casinos! What a fun-filled weekend it was!

Manager Response:

I'm so glad you enjoyed Babble-On and so many of Sonoma County's offerings. I hope you'll be back, as there is much more to see and do! -Rachel

"Charming and cozy place for our Thanksgiving weekend!"

5 of 5

It was Thanksgiving weekend, so we really appreciated the beautiful kitchen, comfortable living areas, and outside spa. During the day we visited wineries, hiked in redwood forests, and drove along the coast. Then it was back to the cottage in the woods, a unique and special place.

"Our stay was restorative and stress free!`"

4 of 5

We had a lovely week amid the redwoods. We used the kitchen, the hot tub, the fire pit and the deck. We ate lovely meals in the nearby villages and tasted wonderful wines in the Russian River area. We plan to return!

Manager Response:

Babble-On is fabulous, and the location can't be beat. The owners take good care and are constantly improving, so please do come back soon. -Rachel

"Nice little getaway"

4 of 5

Babble On was a great little place and we stayed for 2 nights with our dog. It was cozy and well appointed. Driving the couple of miles from the main road through the narrow neighborhood roads was a little daunting at first because it seemed very congested, but by the time you got to Babble On it was much quieter and this place is surprisingly quiet and private. The couple of neighbors we encountered were really nice. At first glance, the hot tub which is actually in the front area of the property seemed not so private, but we did use it after dark, and felt completely private with the fencing, etc. It was clean and temp perfect. We felt the house itself was really clean, had everything we needed, nice big kitchen (although I would suggest adding a spice rack, as we did cook in one night and found we needed something besides salt & pepper, and the town was a little too far to "run to the store"), but of course this was not a deal breaker at all. The bed was really comfy and the bedding clean and soft, and I do consider myself a clean bed snob. The house was decorated with some really nice touches, and makes you feel right at home. Also a nice selection of movies. The brook was not really flowing by any means, and I guess that is because it was October, but it sure was pretty sitting on the deck (and the spot light that you can turn on from the deck to illuminate the brook was a great touch!)The rental process was seamless and we liked the keyless entry. I just put the code in my phone notes and didn't have to worry about a key. Besides the suggestion of a spice rack, the only other problem we encountered was the clock on the wall was slow, so we were late for a tee time (at a fantastic golf course just out of town), but the folks there were so nice and laid back, my husband was able to get out anyway. I corrected the time on the clock, but be aware that you should go by the time on your phone to be sure. We would definitely return to Babble On.

Manager Response:

We're so glad you had a good visit to our area and that you enjoyed Babble-On. We'll ask the owners to take a look at the clock. Thanks for the nice review! -Rachel

"You've found the perfect rental. No need to keep looking"

5 of 5

Even though we are a Bayarea family, we still wanted to get-away and have it feel like we are really on vacation. This rental had all the amenities & more of a cozy luxurious hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The price was right too! We'll for sure want to use this agency again also.

Manager Response:

Babble-On is a real treat. Thanks for the review and the kudos, and w do hope you'll come back soon. -Rachel

"Quiet neighborhood"

3 of 5

Overall the place was fine. I was dissapointed with the cleanliness. The bath mats had not been washed, we threw them to the side and dug out fresh ones. After driving for five hours and checking in at 3:00 we had a leisurely dinner and enjoyed the deck and the quiet, but when it was time to retire for the night, I was dissapointed and upset to find that my bed sheets had not been washed. Good thing I had brought my own pillow and blanket. I did not wash the sheets and just slept on top for 3 nights. There was dog hair behind the doors and under tables. I would advise you to check more thoughly on your cleaning crew. The gas fireplace didn't work all that well, you might have that checked. Otherwise, besides the toaster not working and a handle on the microwave broken we made due and enjoyed the deck, the brook, the birds and the quiet. I left these remarks on the sheet provided, but possibly no one turned them in to the management? If I were to do this again I would insist on a cleaner enviroment. Also there were different colors of paint tested on the walls suggesting it was to be completely repainted, which was okay, but I think this little house was a bit neglected and my trip was a fill-in proir to the facelift. For the price (almost 200.00 per night) I was not satisfied. Take care of the problems and I would rent it again because of the beauty surrounding it.

"The perfect, cozy private little getaway"

4 of 5

Everything was really wonderful, from the fully equipped kitchen to the toasty jacuzzi. My one complaint is--and it is a big one--the beds were horribly uncomfortable. I didn't sleep well either of the nights I stayed there. Additionally, if you don't know Guernville, the rental receives little to no sunlight due to the dense, tall tree coverage.

Manager Response:

Beds are open to personal taste, but it just happens that the owners have replaced the beds since this review was written. This is definitely a cabin in the woods, so, if you want a house with a lot of sun, please ask for that specifically when you call the office.

"Great Stay at Babble-On"

4 of 5

We had a fantastic stay at Babble-On for the long NYE weekend. Very charming and quaint. It had everything we needed. We never left the premise once. The sound of the babbling brook behind the property was a great added 'feature'. The hot tub was so easy to use (unlike others). The booking assistance was very helpful and the easy check-in were very appreciated. The only issue was with the microwave which kept shorting out and the sofa bed which we couldn't figure out how to collapse and put away.

Manager Response:

We'll look into the microwave and make sure it gets fixed. We could not duplicate the problem with sofabed, but we'll keep an eye on it.

-Kai on 01/17/2013

"Exactly what I was looking for!"

4 of 5

This house is a cozy cabin in the woods surrounded by redwoods and with the babbling brook it is named for just on the other side of the house. The neighborhood is secluded and quiet. There are plenty of roads to wander down for hikes but no sidewalks and paths only in the woods. This really isn't much of a problem because people generally drove slowly and were expecting pedestrians on the street. The hot tub that appears to be in the woods is actually just off the deck and the front door. There is a bit of space/yard just up the hill where the hammock and fire pit sit.The brook provides lovely 'white noise' just outside both bedroom windows. The kitchen is well set out with every kitchen implement we needed as well as some that we did not expect to have. The bathroom is huge with an equally huge but somewhat odd rainfall shower (it was about an 8'x8' shower space with one large nozzle overhead and a bench on the side). Plenty of towels, toilet tissue, and paper towels were provided. The tv is large and gets perfect cable reception and the dvd player worked nicely. The ipod hook up was a bit problematical but my friend figured it out so we could listen to holiday tunes while we cooked and ate.The house comes equipped with three oil radiant heaters that work more than sufficiently to get the entire house nice a cozy. The fireplace was a bit of a downer as it's on an internal timer that seemed to turn it off more often than it was on. After the first day we just turned it off.The reason I gave this property 4 stars and not 5 was because of the fireplace and the microwave. It's a nice microwave but it kept turning on and off with a 'flourish' and a beep. I'm guessing that the heaters were drawing too much power and the microwave would turn off in response but I'm not really sure.Regardless it was the perfect cozy hideaway for a weekend away from everything which is what I wanted.

"charming and quiet cottage in the forest"

4 of 5

My mom and I stayed at Babble-On for 3 nights to have some quality mother-daughter time, since we live 3,000 miles apart. I've booked vacations with Russian River Getaways a couple of times before (with my ex-boyfriend) and always find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The good: fully-equipped spacious kitchen, lovely yard and patio, comfortable living room and beds, wonderful hammock in the trees, very quiet and peaceful, great heating (wood-burning stove and portable heaters), good wi-fi. We did not use the hot tub but the setting in the woods is fantastic. When we couldn't find the switch on the wood-burning stove, a really nice guy from maintenance came out to help us promptly. The not-so-good: the housekeeper must have done a very hasty job, because it only looked clean from a distance. The rugs had not been well-vacuumed, so I got out the vacuum and vacuumed them myself. (Turns out the vacuum has barely any suction, which isn't the housekeeper's fault; the owner should replace the vacuum.) When it was time for bed, I noticed the bed frame and nightstands were covered with a thick layer of dust. When I checked for outlets to charge my phone and laptop, I found lots of debris and dead bugs along the walls and under the bed. I ended up dusting and cleaning the bedroom myself in an effort to avoid allergies. (I did not have any issues with the cleanliness of the properties I rented through Rrgetaways in the past, so I was surprised.) I'm sure if I had called they would have offered to send a housekeeper the next day, but it was already late at night and I didn't want to sleep that first night in a dirty bedroom. Summary- Babble-on is comfy and quiet and is in a beautiful setting in the forest. I suspect Rrgetaways will make sure housekeeping does a more thorough cleaning/dusting of the place from now on, in which case I highly recommend it for a relaxing vacation stay.

"Quiet place"

4 of 5

We rented Babble On in October 2012. It was a great location in the forest. The bit of a hill and on to a gravel drive was tricky on a motorcycle but well worth the effort.Very quiet location, did not see many people, beautiful setting for the hot tub. The creek was dry but we would imagine beautiful when there is rain. Well stocked kitchen, layout was unusual with the bathroom off of the kitchen and across from the bedrooms. The rental procedure went very smoothly and we had a great time. (By the way, to the owners, we liked all of the new paint color choices on the wall except for the kitchen.)

Manager Response:

The creek has always been year round, so we'll have to check this out. -Rachel, general manager

"Too isolated & shaded for me."

3 of 5

Babble-on is a well maintained & furnished home with a fabulous kitchen & expansive bathroom shower. Bedrooms are small, but have adequate closets. The beds & bedding were clean, but outdated. They could use updating, ie. pillow top mattresses, crisp sheets & down-like comforters & pillows. I had 2 problems: the hot tub was slightly cloudy when I arrived & got worse as I used it. The spa service came & quickly resolved the issue to my satisfaction. The gas grill would not light. Again Russian River Getaways was there in a flash, discovered the igniter was broken & replaced the gas grill with a Weber charcoal grill complete with charcoal. Excellent, prompt, & friendly service! This home is in a very wooded area where you get little sun because of the woods. I found this somewhat depressing. It is also about 10 mins. off the Guerneville Rd. on winding, narrow roads with one cabin on top of another all along the way - made me feel somewhat claustrophobic. Yet I must say the small deck was very private. You do not see other homes on two sides of this house. I am an artist who rented this to be alone & paint (hopefully outside on the deck). The deck was too shaded & the house too dark inside because of the woods. I needed the lights on during the day to create a more cheerful atmosphere. The babbling brook was not very babbling in June, but the setting of this home is quite interesting. If you want to be nestled into the woods with a decent amount of privacy even though there are neighbors, this is the place for you.

Manager Response:

I'm sorry that Babble-On was too much in the shade but glad that we could solve your other problems. We do have homes that are much sunnier, so ask us about this next time. -Rachel, general manager

"It was nice"

3 of 5

The deck with the sound of the creek was the saving grace for our stay.Although the house was nice, it lacked somethings that the other houses we rented from you had. One of the bedrooms had no drapes and they was nothing to block the sun from coming in, also there were things hung on the wall with thumb tacks. There was not enough kitchen utensils and we had to go buy a few to cook with. We have always stayed in quiant cottages from you and this seemed more like a extended stay motel. We will continue to use RR Getaways, but Babble-On will not be our choice.

Manager Response:

We're sorry the house was not as well outfitted as others you've stayed in and appreciate your loyalty very much. We'll let the owner know what's missing so they can remedy. -Rachel, general manager

"Very Relaxing stay at Babylon"

4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Babylon. Kitchen was well stocked, living room area is comfortable, nice tv and wifi a great help for those who want internet access. Bedrooms are small but thats ok. Patio is great to hang out and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and sound of the creek below. Hot tub worked great, a nice plus as rental in previous year, was not functional. Only 2 problems, bathroom got locked and we had to pick the lock. Main inconvenience (complaint) was that the clock on the wall was 20 minutes slow, which we did not notice until last hour before checkout. Since there is a $500. fee stated in the contract for departing more than a half hour late, we found ourselves rushing to finish cleaning up, as I always leave a place clean upon departure. Unfortunately I did not get time to shower and a pair of tennis shoes were left under the bed, the clock part really threw us off as I did not pay attention to my phone the entire time. All and all, it was a nice stay.

Manager Response:

If there were ever a reasonable excuse for not being out of the house on time, a house clock 20 minutes behind is it! Thanks for being so conscientious. We'll check out the clock and the lock. -Rachel, Russian River Getaways

"Wonderful peaceful time"

4 of 5

We loved this cabin! Great location, fabulous kitchen, and the creek was amazing. So peaceful and well maintained. Also, huge thanks to the cleaning crew who showed up a tad bit early and were patient as we trucked all of our stuff out of the house. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fireplace, though it would've been great if there had been some dry wood and a fire starter log when we got there.

Manager Response:

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Some homes provide firewood and some don't (this one doesn't); this info is on the house webpage and the property info sheet you receive when you book. -general manager

What an incredible house! Perfect for a cozy vineyard vacay!! The amenities were just right. Loved falling asleep and waking to the birds and babbling waterfalls/brook. Thank you.

"Being in the woods with a brook running under your house is ench"

5 of 5

We appreciated the thoughtfulness in providing amenities like the hot tub, hammock, and deck outside, and the Wifi, and the electric heaters scattered throughout the indoors. When we found that the outlets along the long wall in the kitchen not working, we were able to call someone about it, and he was very pleasant and helpful. This place is a gem!

We're so glad you enjoyed Babble-On. It is a very special place. --General Manager

"Green peace and quiet"

4 of 5

A great retreat. I actually went there for 3 days, by myself. In need of silence and rest, after the tumult of the Silicon Valley, this cottage was lovely. The sound of the creek behind the house was soothing. Clean, great accomodations, deck, and view of the forest.

Manager Response:

Babble-On is a wonderful home in which to relax and un-wind. We're so glad you were able to take full advantage of the peaceful ambiance. -General Manager

"Breathtaking beauty & homey comforts"

5 of 5

The house is beautiful, comfortable, if a bit small, the location exquisite. We were close enough to town for necessities, but far enough away for privacy & the relaxation we sought on a mini-vacation. The owner had thought of everything to make our stay pleasurable. We'd return!

"A quaint little retreat in the redwoods"

4 of 5

My wife & I enjoyed 10 wonderful nights at Babble-On. She had never been to the area, myself,... well it's been nearly 40 years since I was last in Guerneville. The whole area was just as I remembered from my childhood. What a neat little place to stay on Hidden Valley road. We had a wonderful time sipping wine & relaxing in the hot tub. The only drawback that we both noticed was that the cabin was in bad need of a deep cleaning, the floors needed cleaned badly as my socks turned nearly black from the dirt, the house terry robes, at first thought to be stained, were filthy from not being laundered, no worries, they are now very clean, and the spider-webs hadn't had attention apparently in a very long time as they looked to have been there for several months, not to mention the unsightly dried egg remnants covering one of the cooking utensils. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definitely book another stay! Everything needed was there for our use and well appointed. Thank you offering up such a nice place to relax after a hectic week of sightseeing in the city!

Manager Response:

Glad these folks enjoyed this home so much. We will relate the complaint about the floors and cobwebs to the cleaner. We do strive to make sure our homes are cleaned to a high standard, so, if they're not, we want to fix the problem. That said, we don't really know the extent of the problem because we didn't have the chance to see for ourselves. We are in woods, which comes with wildlife. Our cleaners cobweb our homes when they clean, but certain cobwebs only show up under certain lighting, so it's impossible to guarantee that there will never be a cobweb in a house - but we do our best! We do rely on guests to do a good job washing the dishes, and they don't always. Housekeeping spot checks the dishes, but they don't have time to check each and every dish between bookings, so sometimes, things get missed. Guests can always call us, and we'll send someone to do the dishes. Washing robes is also a guest responsibility, as housekeepers do not have time to do extra laundry between bookings, so previous guests left them dirty. -rkl

"Love the House hated the Spiders"

4 of 5

The house itself is amazing and we had a good time. However, there were a ton of spiders. Nothing that a trip from the pest control man couldn't fix.

Manager Response:

We're so glad you liked this house and that you enjoyed your stay. This is a rural, heavily wooded area and there is plenty of wildlife. Unfortunately, pest control doesn't deal with spiders, who are, ironically, a form of pest control themselves. Despite this, we do try to keep them out of our homes, so housekeeping clears them out while cleaning. Sometimes new ones come in between the time the house was cleaned and the time the guests arrive. Usually, this is only one or two that can be easily dispatched. However, to urban dwellers, this might seem like "a ton." -rkl

"Nice getaway!"

4 of 5

Very nice place to getaway. House is small but clean. Tv's didn't work well in bedrooms only 4 or 5 channels (no kid stuff). My wife, 13 year old daughter and I all agreed we will stay there again.Thank you,Bart Y.

Manager Response:

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay at Babble-On. We checked out the bedroom TVs and both were working well. All the many, many cable channels were active, so it must have been a Comcast issue. In any case, next time give us a call, so we can see the problem and fix it for you. -rkl

"Guernsville house"

4 of 5

Wonderful little house perfect for a small family getaway. Good for getting away from noise, city air etc. Has everything one needs for comfort and perfect if you plant to just hang out in the house, drink coffee at the patio and read a book surrounded by tranquil green trees with frequent visits from little birds. The patio is situated right above a creek that makes incredibly relaxing noise throughout the day. The kitchens is spacious. Living room is cozy. The bedrooms are comfy but a bit small. It takes a day or two to get used to the narrow road drive to the house, but that is what it takes to be pleasantly secluded. There are no nearby hikes and not much to explore close by since there are houses throughout.

"Hidden tranquil oasis in the redwoods- better than home!"

5 of 5

My sister and I stayed for a week at Babble On. What an approriate name, as listening to the creek and falls was so relaxing and soothing. It was so easy to book, all done online, and then a code sent to me, so no need to meet a deadline to pick up a key...good thing, as we hit rush hour traffic leaving San Fransisco, but we were totally at ease. The home was beautiful, nicely decorated, and so homey feeling. We had thought we were going to do a lot of touring, but were content to just "chillax" on the back deck ,listening to the creek and catching up on some RnR time. I had visited the area a year ago and stayed in Summer Home Park, also very nice, but the road in to Babble On was much more user friendly!! This home was also closer for me to Johnsons Beach, as I visit the area yearly to do the triathlon that starts in Guerneville. Having the 24 hour Safeway is so nice for picking up goods at whatever hour. Can't say enough good things about this rental,no complaints. One suggestion might be to give more info on the heating (yep Canadian and still looking for heat in the morning !!) units. Didn't realize that there were units in each bedroom, one in the kitchen (I thought they were fans), and didn't really work at getting the stove going till the second last day. Was nice to take the chill off in the morning and leave it from there I will definately rent this home again, and have already suggested it to friends...they just can't have my week! Great job to the owners of such a beautiful cottage !!

Manager Response:

We love that you loved this wonderful home. It is a great location, away but close to the best of the River area. -rkl

"Well-appointed with exceptional attention to detail"

4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Babble-On house, which is about a 5-7 minute drive to downtown Guerneville.Outdoors on the property there is....- a hammock- Adirondack chairs in front of a wood burning fireplace (bring your own wood!)- a hot tub that is pretty private- a gas grill- a dining table and chairs- a babbling brook and lots of birdsInside, you'll find- well-furnished rooms (not the hand-me-down furniture often found in vacation rentals)- a large shower (no bath tub)- wireless internet- large TV with DVD player and DVR- well-labeled and maintained kitchen ware- lots of towels, blankets, and pillows- cleanliness and neatness!Overall, this has got to be one of the best-managed rental properties I've ever stayed in. The only thing that would make it better (and they can't do anything about this) would be a kind-sized bed. There was also a kind of unpleasant odor in the bathroom (sorry- I'm not trying to be gross!) but I'm sure they'll take care of that. They seem very vigilant.

"Far better than a hotel room, albeit off the beaten path"

4 of 5

My wife and I spent three nights here. The place is very nice with an incredibly well-equipped kitchen,a humongous shower and perfectly working hot tub. However, neighbors surround you, although the geometry of the place and surroundings provide some privacy; be warned this is not an idyllic place alone in the woods. It is also quite the trip up to the property off the main road, but after a couple of trips up you get the hang of it. A nice alternative to a suite at a resort.

"A lovely, quiet home in a beautiful setting"

5 of 5

a lovely, well thought out remodel of this cabin made it especially nice to stay. Plenty of light and the waterfall is what really made the experience first rate. If the fall is seasonal, we would still like the place, but the fall is what makes it special. Only one recommendation: increase lighting in the kitchen. The dark tiles are beautiful, but they suck ip the light .

"Wonderful Sounds of Silence"

5 of 5

The cabin was exactly as described. The creek that runs just behind the home is so relaxing that we cracked the window in the bedroom at night just to fall asleep to it. It was a bit cramped for my taste, though the weather kept us from enjoying the patio as much as I'd have liked and I probably would have felt less claustrophobic had we been able to. Our dog is pretty big and we had to get creative to set up his kennel but it all worked out. I have only one minor complaint and that is the pillows aren't very comfortable on the bed. They're flat and we struggled to find the right stacking amount to not wake up with sore necks in the morning. Bringing our own pillows would have solved that. The neighborhood is very quiet and the week was exactly what we needed.

"lovely little house in the redwoods"

5 of 5

Russian River Getaways let me and my daughter inspect a few of their properties between rentals. Babble-on was always booked but based on the beauty and maintenance of those other houses, we decided to rent it sight unseen. It turned out to be even nicer! Looks just like the photos but it's much more impressive in person. During a rainy long weekend with record low temps the gas fireplace/stove kept us warm and happy. The bedrooms are small but both have comfortable beds and big closets. The place is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for any length of stay. Few steps, good off-street parking area, almost no traffic, easy to get to, close to Guerneville but convenient to everything else. Wonderful hot tub with deep seating. The creek gushes behind the house and down the hill in a series of frothy, gurgling waterfalls. There are neighbors across the street and in the distance across the creek, you can see the houses from the windows but they do not feel intrusive and the area is very quiet. In the morning lots of little birds come for breakfast at the birdfeeder right off the deck.

"magic by the creek"

4 of 5

Lovely location, and enjoyed hearing the rush of water all night long . Very relaxing and upscale rental. Great amenities like extra towels, ground coffee, a vacuum cleaner and extra supplies, the owners did not seem to be stingy with. Only 2 negatives; The bed in the yellow room was so short my feet had to hang off the edge and I am a 5'7' female, so that room really isn't for adults. Also- I don't mind bugs, but some others may. A spider bit my eyelid while sleeping and it became swollen shut.(The cleaning crew missed avery thick web behind the door and we found lots of dust elsewhere.) Also there was a scorpion in the living room which we escorted out to the creek. I noted the front door has a big 3/4"gap at the bottom where woodland critters could get in and just needs some weather proofing there. The biggest sell for me is that it is dog friendly , stylish and by the creek. Wonderful redwoods. I would buy this place. And get a new cleaning crew.

My husband and I recently stayed for three nights in this fantastic cabin. Not only was the location ideal, the service was great as well. We decided last minute to stay another night and they accomadated us without a problem. When the hot tub wasn't heating correctly (I think due to us not following directions!), someone came out to take a look immediately. Of course, it was working by the time she arrived, but we were so touched that someone actually came over to take a look! We can't wait to stay again!

"Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!"

4 of 5

My husband and I were looking for a romantic place to stay to celebrate his birthday and Babble-On didn't let us down. Nestled amongst beautiful trees with a beautiful waterfall running along the back of the house, hot tub where you can soak and look up at the tree tops and evening stars, bay window that looks out at the trees and waterfall, I could go on and on about how pretty this little place is. My husband wanted me to point out that what he liked a lot about this place is that everything worked. Sometimes you rent a house and the spa doesn't work or the TV is out, etc. Everything operated as expected. The only downside to this place is that the bedrooms are very small. However, it did not bother us as we didn't spend much time in the bedroom except to sleep. If you are a wine lover, the wineries are a short drive away and the wines are delicious. While you are here you should check out Armstrong Woods which is only a few miles away. This is a State Park and it is absolutely beautiful. Fantastic place for a nice long hike. We loved staying at Babble-On so much that we called and asked to stay an extra night.

It seems like a long drive up to this tastefully remodeled home, but it's worth it (just don't forget the quart of milk). Large living room/kitchen area is welcoming, and everything you need is provided. Lovely little corner with high-speed internet, and a nice deck over a lovely creek. We had an amazing time at Babble-On. My mother, myself and my 2 daughters spent 3 days in the comfort of the redwoods. The shower is a room unto itself. The hot tub was private, the sound of the creek outside the bedroom window was soothing, the deck looked out into the trees and creek, and the kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. What a wonderful weekend getaway! We made cioppino on a cool night after a refreshing rain and then spent the entire night under the stars and tall trees with candles. Soooo relaxing. The home was cozy with a fake fireplace and cute little desk area. The kitchen is great. The only downside was that the bedrooms were small. However they did have tons of extra blankies. I would stay here again.

My partner and our two dogs spent a long weekend at Babble-On for our Tenth Anniversary. I wanted a more upscale home for two and this fit the bill. Very cosy. Very private. We loved the modern kitchen and the bathroom. Great furnishings, beautiful light, beautiful views. We discovered that all the lights were on dimmers so we were able to adjust according to our mood and tasks.Just perfect for two adults. We could stay a week there. I would not want to have four people for a week, unless they were children or if you were to spend lots of time outside or away. Keyless entry is a great timesaver. We were able to walk to Zen House and Angell House up the street to remember our stays there as well.

"A superb getaway"

Even though the pictures and description are absolutely accurate, there was nothing to prepare me for this wonderful experience. The setting is beautiful and the cabin was pristine and was stocked with everything we needed for our stay to be comfortable. At night when my daughter and I retired to our individual bedrooms, we opened our windows to sleep to the sound of the creek running outside. Very peaceful. The surrounding area was very quiet and no neighbors across the creek, just the lush green of nature. I spa was a very soothing comfort at the end of the day and with complete privacy. My only complaint is that there is not enough light in the livingroom at night. Otherwise this is the perfect place to stay and I will certainly book this again.

"Wonderful peacful respite from lifes craziness!"

4 of 5

We loved our 1 week stay at "Babble On". Upon arriving we were initially dissappointed that the cottage wasn't as remote as we were led to believe from the information we received. In fact it was on quite a populated street with homes all around it in close proximity. Our plan was to be "in the middle of nowhere" with civilization within a short driving distance! The hot tub was not very private unfortunately! We had been looking forward to using it after our son went to bed at night, but after doing so once, it was too uncomfortable! We felt that every word or laugh was disturbing the very close neighbors. That being said, we still had a brilliantly peaceful and relaxing week at "Babble On". We enjoyed many meals sitting outside on the deck surrounded by the trees and the chirping birds, it was so calm and still you could almost hear yourself think! The hammock was the best! It was in the perfect spot, so that when you lay down you were gazing up at the tops of the beautiful redwoods with the sun peaking thru, awesome! The house itself had practically everything you need and it was very clean and nicely decorated. The only problem was that the bedrooms were very small and one bedroom didn't even have a a small dresser to put your clothes in and with no space to lay a week long suitcase it was slightly problematic. I would definately recommend "Babble On" to our friends after letting them know of the minor issues we encountered.

Things I loved:-really well appointed, didn't feel like a vacation rental.- gorgeous outdoor potted plants and landscaping.- 5 minute drive to town; 10 mins to the golf course- loads of towels! - very clean and new.- in a great neighborhood where you can take a stroll and check out the homes.- quiet and dark at night.Any Complaints?- None that should make you think twice about going. - I don't think it would be suitable for 2 couples...too small for that.- No sunshine after 4pm

"We loved this home"

3 of 5

We loved the big screen TV in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped. I want to come back during the winter when the creek is flowing. I would not recommend this house for those with small children. There is a steep hill off of the yard. The issue we had with this home is while we were there the spa service came and drained the hot tub. We lost the use of it for awhole day and we were only there 2 days. The hot tubs are one of the big selling points of the homes we rent.

Manager Response:

Believe me, we were just as upset with the maintenance company's poor scheduling and our services manager has been very clear that this cannot happen again. Unfortunately, by the time we knew about it, the tub was drained. Our abject apologies!

"Great, but some strange conditions"

3 of 5

Beautiful house, in a gorgeous location. Few strange conditions, though. The limits on towel use and toilet paper are surprising for such an expensive place. Also the screen door was a little difficult to open and close, and there were quite a few cobwebs around the patio and hottub. We had a great time and will probably be back, but might bring our own towels and toilet paper...

Manager Response:

Hi, we do appreciate the feedback. Since our homes have washers and dryers, we do limit guests to one set of towels each. Otherwise, the housekeepers would not be able to clean the homes in the alloted time. Not sure what the toilet paper issue was; we provided a roll and a spare for every bathroom in our homes. If this was not so, we do apologize and will alert housekeeping. Our services manager will follow-up on the difficulty with the screen door---we really aim for perfection!
