"Good times..."

5 of 5

Great time in the Tree Top Cabin! Very secluded and cozy. The cabin was very clean and tidy. We almost didn't leave the cabin during our stay because of how comfortable it was! Love the wood burning stove/fireplace.Cheers!-d

"Love this place! Very private location in the middle of the woods."

4 of 5

The rooms were a bit small and the 2nd bedroom was not very private, just a curtain no door. The water from the half bath was bad. Do not brush your teeth or drink that water. But other than that everything was lovely! I had a nice relax time :)

"Super cute!"

5 of 5

This place was well maintained and had beautiful views of the forest. One of my favorite rentals so far! The hot tub was delightful. Beds and blankets were comfy and cozy though the pillows were a touch firm for my taste. A really minor issue was the taste of the water in the bathrooms for brushing teeth was unpleasant, I just improvised and used water from the kitchen to rinse. All in all a good experience.

"Perfect Getaway"

4 of 5

This is a lovely cabin in a remote location, yet it is only a few miles from Guerneville. The front yard is inviting, the front deck is a perfect place to enjoy the afternoon, and the backyard is like having your own personal forest. My husband, teenage daughter, and our big yellow dog rented this place at the last minute for a few days over Spring Break. It couldn't have been easier. The rental company made it simple and convenient. The cabin itself is perfect for a quiet weekend getaway, when you are in need of a little solitude. Everything was clean and in good shape (except that weird animal rug in the downstairs bedroom). The kitchen has everything you need (but bring your own condiments). There's a nice desk area, a cozy fireplace (some wood included), and a very comfy lounging couch. The only thing I wish we had was blankets to curl up in as we enjoyed the couch. Also, the stairs in the cabin are pretty steep, so take care. The downstairs bathroom is very small - watch your head. The shower is upstairs and the bedrooms are downstairs, which is a bit inconvenient, but it's a minor inconvenience. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this cabin for anyone who needs some cozy quiet time to recharge. It's also about a 10 minute drive from the Armstrong Redwoods, which is reason enough to come here.

"Great family rental"

5 of 5

Great location in between Guerneville and Monte Rio. Log cabin look and feel was super quaint though rugged and practical. Clean linens, great amenities and idyllic setting! And monopoly too! We will return for sure.

"Cozy, comfy, convenient!"

4 of 5

My wife and two daughters (5 & 8) stayed three nights at this cozy cabin. My kids wanted a hot tub, and I wanted a good location for visiting Armstrong Redwoods, a few wineries and the coast. This was a great location in the heart of the Russian River valley. On the first day we spent the morning in Armstrong and went to the beach in the afternoon to watch the sun set. On the second day we went to Korbel and Porter Creek wineries. We spent the rest of our vacation in San Francisco, but the time in the Russian River area was the highlight of our trip. The cabin was well appointed and had several items left behind by previous guest (spices/sauces and bath supplies) that came in handy. We ate a few meals at the cabin and a few at local restaurants (the Big Bottom Market had wonderful breakfast biscuits). The kitchen had everything we could have wanted and the coffeemaker worked great. Being from the east coast, the kids were waking up at 4AM PT... We spent a lot of time drinking coffee and hanging out in the cabin waiting for sunrise! The temperature dipped into the 40's at night, but the space heaters kept us comfy. I built a fire in the wood burning stove one evening, and it really warmed up the upstairs living area. There was a large stack of wood on the porch which would have been plenty to build several more fires.I did give this 4 stars rather than 5 due to two minor items. I noticed a little bit of an odor in the downstairs sleeping area that my wife thought might have been from a cat, and I though smelled like mice had been there in the past. It wasn't overpowering, but I did notice it a few times when walking downstairs into the sleeping area. My wife also commented that it would be nice to have a little better path to the hot tub. It was a muddy/slippery and tracked a lot of dirt into the house and hot tub.One tip: We landed in SFO and drove to Russian River Getaways to pick up the keys to the cabin. The RRG office is right next to another rental agency. It was very easy to mistake one for the other (which we did). RRG is on the second story of a two-story building. Also, if you have AT&T mobile, there is very spotty coverage in the area which makes navigating with google maps a challenge. We fell back to using the written directions provided in the rental packet. It took us several tries before we located the cabin. The street names and house numbers are not always displayed. The cabin has a sign with the house number leaning against a landscape light in front of the cabin. It is difficult to see at night. Finding it was an adventure in itself!Overall I was pleased with the cabin and wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

"Romantical Treehouse get away"

4 of 5

Place is beautiful, only a few house keeping things that weren't great. Couple pans were crusted with egg yolk or something kind of gross. We went in the Jacuzzi Sunday morning before we left to find that it was green. There were pine needles everywhere, a quick rake or sweep of the porches and steps would be nice. Tea kettle has old nasty water in it.

Manager Response:

We're so glad you enjoyed Treetop. Sorry about the pans. Guests wash their own dishes, and our cleaners do spot check, but sometimes they don't find everything. Spas are finicky and sometimes get off balance. Next time, if you call us, we can get it fixed right away. Pine needles fall, we clean them up, they fall again, often within 15 or 20 minutes. It is the great outdoors! -Rachel

"Great Little Spot"

4 of 5

Simple log cabin with everything you'll need for a relaxing week or weekend. We enjoyed the hot tub located in the middle of a ring of redwood trees. Minutes from Guerneville and Safeway, but it feels like you're miles away from anything. The neighbors on one side are very close, but you can retreat to the back of the property for more privacy. Overall four stars.

Manager Response:

Thanks for your nice review of Treetop Log Cabin. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will be back to stay with us again. -Rachel, Russian River Getaways

"Peaceful hide away in the middle of your own redwood grove"

5 of 5

First of all, before I even into the review of this property, it must be said that the managing company for this unique home(Russian river Getaways) went above and beyond at every turn. Whether it was a question about location or the 50th call about the size, location, internet, proximity to the water...Whatever I needed Josette was there to answer with kindness and patience...What a professional!! Thank you so much Josette!!!Now the house. We loved it. My husband and I were looking for a place to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. Tree Top Log Cabin was exactly the thing we needed even if we didn't know it at the time. The house is cozy and has everything a little house should. There is a hot tub right in the middle of a 6 redwoods. My husband took advantage of that daily...It's unbelievable!!! There are decks all around the house and when are standing there looking up...you feel like you are in the middle of something much bigger than yourself. Thank you so much for sharing this house with with the world

"Property was great office help needs a lot of help"

3 of 5

check in person was very rude says we have a code and we didn't. your computer was up and down and we didn't get all the info. your lady said we would be charged extra for her having to come in---very rude. we have already told all the vfw's and our local motorcycle club not to use you. we checked out early and dropped off the key at the office the night before and were called you couldn't find the key and we may be charged extra---what kind of people do you employ ?

Manager Response:

This is a very unfortunate combination of events. We had several contacts with this gentleman, having to let him know about procedures and rules, which he did not appreciate. We also made some errors when giving him information and had some computer glitches, which he also did not appreciate. As far as the keys go, he did bring one set into the office and left one set at the house. The agent who accepted them did not note this in the reservation, which was his mistake. On their check-out day, the agent who was in the office did not know the keys were already accounted for, so he made a routine phone call to ask about the keys. We do let guests know that extra charges may apply if the keys are not brought back, otherwise we'd lose a lot of keys! The guest was understandably upset because his bringing the keys back had not been noted, and we apologize for this. -rkl

"Great Treetop Experience!"

5 of 5

Perfect little place! We had 4 friends and it was a bit of a tight fit--cozy for sure! But the outdoor spaces provided plenty of room to spread out. Great Kitchen with far more than your average rental. Really felt like you were in the middle of te woods, far from everyone else--yet it's very close to town in case you need to run to the grocery store.

"Highly Recommend"

5 of 5

Felt like I was in the high sierras. The cabin is cozy, warm, very clean with a beautiful view of the trees. The cabin is not fancy so if you're looking for that, keep looking! However, the kitchen has everything you need to make meals, beds were comfortable and the place felt very private even with a neighbor next door. A very sweet place. I'd come back again without hesitation.

"Beautiful cabin, beautiful location."

4 of 5

This is a great little cabin for a family. The only problem is that we rented it with two couples. The website does not say that in order to get to the second bedroom, you have to walk through the first one. There is no privacy for the first bedroom. We felt that was an important detail to disclose. Other than that, it was really a fantastic property and we really enjoyed our stay there.

Manager Response:

We have added this detail to the website. Since the bedrooms are separated by a stairwell and bathroom, and have visual privacy, it didn't occur to us. Thanks for the feedback! -rkl

"Relaxing"

4 of 5

Loved it. We were under the impression that the back yard was enclosed, but that's a small matter.

Manager Response:

We're glad these guests liked this home. When the yard of one of our homes is fenced, we say so on the house webpage, under amenities.

"Cozy, cute and secluded"

4 of 5

We stayed at the Treetop Log Cabin for two nights in april. This cabin is absolutely wonderful. The hot tub in the redwoods was amazing. The porch, kitchen and living room were roomy and everything was fully stocked, which was quite nice. It's in a very secluded location, yet it's close to all the amenities of both the river and the town. But above all - it's just so darn cute. Very nicely decorated, lots of charm and super cozy. The only reason this cabin doesn't get 5 stars from our stay really just has to do with the heat - they have several electric heaters in the bedrooms, but for whatever reason it just didn't do the trick to keep us warm enough during the night and had a clicking noise. There is a woodstove, but of course we couldn't figure out how to make it work properly (city girls much?!) A pretty minor problem that likely won't affect most people - we're just sensitive to the cold (and it was chillier than most nights). One other minor detail to note is that to get to the second or guest bedroom, you need to go through the main bedroom down the stairs. So - while I'm sure that is fine for most people, if you are wanting complete privacy in each room, it's worth noting that you have to enter one room by going through the main one. Certainly ideal for families with children. They are both connected to the same bathroom, which is small but functional. The bigger bathroom is upstairs and nice. We overall really enjoyed our time there. It was incredibly relaxing - and honestly, there are few things in life better than sitting under the stars admist beautiful redwoods in a hot tub. Divine! I would absolutely recommend this cabin to friends or family - especially if they know how to work a woodstove! I'm sure that would have made it 10x toastier and lovely than it already was.

"what a dream!"

5 of 5

Stylish, warmth, abundance, secret, grand yet not overstated. These are some of the words that come to mind when asked to describe our stay at the "Tree Top Log Cabin". Perched on a winding switch back, nestled in the woods, sits this quiet secret paradise. Watching the sun roll through the redwoods and oaks, observing the stars patterns move ever around from amongst the 'fairy ring' down the slope. Tending the fire in the stove. Smells of lillac, rosemary, sage, and that cool ocean wind, ever faintly rolling over the hill. These are some of my many splendid memories from a three night stay at this wonderful abode. I believe my spouse said it best, when we were packing to head back on our journey, and she looked at me with sad eyes and said, "cant we just live here darling". If only for a moment, and only in a dream, we did.

"Woodland serenity"

5 of 5

Light and airy cabin set on the wooded hillside. Very quiet location, excellent place to unwind! Cabin interior was very clean, and the layout surprisingly spacious considering how small it looks on the outside. Really loved the kitchen, great views looking out to the trees as you cooked. Arguably, the best feature is the hot tub, which is set in a circle of redwood trees just outside of the house! Very relaxing! They don't mention on the web page, but there is a small kayak and an inner tube that can be used.Overall a very enjoyable experience, highly recommend.

This was a perfect getaway. It was cozy and clean, and had all amenities desired, kitchen tools, grill, hot tub.The location really makes you feel like you're tucked into the treetops. I found myself constantly sighing from the beauty of it all.The staff at Russian River Getaways was also extremely helpful and friendly. The check-in/check-out process was extremely efficient.

We were only able to stay for 2 days and wish we could have stayed a whole week! We had our little 9 month old with us and had a great relaxing, family time. We didn't get to enjoy the deck and bbq because of the weather, but we plan to definately be back for a longer stay in the summer!
