A terrific stay in a wonderful location, the accommodation is perfect for two.

Luke September 2021
This was the perfect spot for a weeklong getaway out of the city! Everything was wonderful and the location is amazing. We hope to visit again soon!

Ron September 2021
The cabin was a joy to stay in with delightful decorations, a helpful info book, and a clean and pleasant hot tub. There was a brief power outage that resolved itself quickly (lights and wifi fixed themselves), and the lanterns and board games made it a fun stay regardless. Thanks for letting us stay there!

William September 2021
Great setting and surrounded by redwoods. Outside patio was very enjoyable and cabin was functional.

Michael September 2021
A very nice spot in the redwoods. Not as secluded as we had thought. There are several neighbors with dogs, but it is still fairly quiet, but the houses are much closer than we expected. Sitting in the hot tub under the redwoods is a beautiful experience. It’s nice that there’s no development on that side of the cabin, so the views are more natural and untouched. Inside is cozy and comfortable. It is not a chef’s kitchen, so don’t plan on too much and you’ll be fine. Someone else mentioned something about bringing an Amazon Firestick and I can see why. Not much in the way of cable channels, and the TVs don’t support casting from your devices. So if you want to watch TV, you are limited to an assortment of older DVDs or whatever you find on the cable. We did find some options using the On Demand service, but we really weren’t that interested in watching TV. The cabin is close to the cost, about 20 minutes, so getting out to explore the nearby beaches was easy. We decided to make the long drive south along the cost to see Bodega Bay and the town of Bodega (Alfred Hitchcock filmed The Birds there). We made it to Point Reyes to see the lighthouse, but couldn’t see San Francisco due to the fog, which we knew would be a 50/50 shot at best. Still worth the drive and easy from the cabin. Just plan to make a day of it I have stayed at more than 30 different Airbnb properties around the world. They have all had their own charm, which seem to draw from the local culture and surroundings. I have wanted to stay in a cabin in the redwoods for sometime and can check that off my bucket list. I wasn’t expecting resort style living, or to be “roughing it”. This property was exactly what I was expecting. So much so that we decided to just hang around the cabin all day and enjoying all the beautiful redwoods and relaxed on the deck and in the hot tub. If you decide to visit, you won’t be disappointed as long as you have the right expectations. All in all, a great visit to Dreamcatcher.

Michael September 2021
Dreamcatcher is a great spot in the woods to get away from it all. It’s 10 mins to the beach, Jenner and Guerneville.

Martin August 2021
This place is as idilic and enchanting as the pictures. Great site to decompress and recalibrate. Highly recommended.Arriving during day light is advised. 5 ⭐️ through and through.

Echa August 2021
Dreamcatcher cabin was wonderful, very cozy. Nestled among the redwoods, it feels very private on the deck and hot tub even though there are other houses nearby. Had a peaceful, quiet stay. Would definitely return.

Angela July 2021
If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, unplug and recharge- this is the place for you! It’s been awhile since I walked outside and heard pure silence. It was beautiful. The home is remarkably charming. The deck was placed in the most perfect spot. The hot tub was the cherry on top! If you have a firestick (Amazon) that is a great addition to bring! I would highly recommend staying. I will certainly be back!! Thank you!

Tasha June 2021
Small and simple but very clean and accurately described on the listing. A perfect getaway

Miriam June 2021
Charming house, lovely deck.

Anastasia June 2021
Dreamcatcher is such a cozy and idyllic place. I would definitely recommend this house if you're looking to unwind and relax under the trees. I spent most of the daytime hours out on the deck where I could hear the trees rustling and the birds chirping. The description of the house is accurate. It was clean and well-equipped. Lastly, a kudos to the team at Russian River Getaways who were wonderfully responsive. I had a power outage and issues with the wifi during my stay. They responded to my email within minutes and offered solutions. Thank you for hosting us!

Ivie June 2021
Nice cabin! Quaint and charming and the scenery is beautiful.

James May 2021
We really enjoyed staying in this space. The convenience of the grill and hot tub made for a super memorable celebration. Highly recommended for anyone looking to find some peace and quiet out in the woods.

Katie May 2021
Beautiful cozy space in the trees. Hit or miss on serenity. Some musts if you book: -earplugs: neighbor dogs from multiple properties were incredibly loud and one house nearby had loud live music until late. -bug spray: the mosquitoes are very real. The space itself is cozy, clean and calm. Unfortunately, the cabin is situated among a number of neighbors with very noisy dogs, and one neighbor who hosted a party with live music until late. My last night there, I contemplated packing everything up at midnight and leaving because a neighbor’s dog wouldn’t stop barking and a neighbor’s live music was exactly what I was trying to escape in going to the woods, not what I was looking for. The cabin is also very dark during the day except for about one hour, so if you are sensitive to needing sunlight like I am, the space may feel a little dark to you. But! The beach is a short 20 min drive away, so if you plan to be at the cabin mostly at night, maybe not a problem. Also, believe the reviews that talk about trouble with the driveway! When I drove in, the holes looked doable to me, but then I had to battle to get out of the driveway and thought I was going to get stuck, so you really might want to park at the top of the driveway if you don’t want to get stuck. It would be great if the owners could address the holes in the driveway, since so many guests have trouble.

Robbie April 2021
Wow. I felt as if we had been transported to a fantasy world when we made it to the cabin. Maybe that’s just because we’re in the city all the time with all it’s hustle and bustle, but this place truly felt magically peaceful. It was amazing how little sound we could hear in the trees. Everything about the cabin screams “CABIN” without feeling bare. We were taken by the rustic charm and still impressed by all the comforts of home. One of our favorite parts was taking the time to look at all of the unique pieces of art and decor. So if you’re looking for that cozy cabin life, but not looking to wash you face with a pine cone, this is the luxurious spot for you. (And you gotta use the hot tub!!!)

Humna April 2021
Had a great stay! The hot tub was so nice and convenient. The place was perfect for a weekend getaway. It’s just far enough to feel secluded but also close enough to town and other things to do. Good amount of space for two people. And owners left a binder with all the info we would need to know. Also, if you get creeped out easily and watch too many horror films, maybe don’t arrive at nighttime :P

Danielle April 2021
The house and hot tub were very clean. Beautiful scenery. The house is just a little further out then I expected, do not drive your car down the driveway, we were very close to getting stuck.

M April 2021
My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. It was so quiet and we loved the location. It was convenient for day trips to the coast and peaceful up on the mountain. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The stairs to the bedroom were not as steep as I thought they would be, but they are narrow and there is one half step that I tripped on once, so you may want to turn on a light/use the lanterns they provide when heading to the bathroom at night. I was pleasantly surprised that the hot water in the shower was nice and consistent (sometimes in older houses it fluctuates with hot/cold). You do have to take a big step up into and out of the tub. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. We did have trouble getting the gas fireplace to turn on the first day, eventually did the opposite of what the instructions say to do and got it working. I have notified the property management about it. It wasn't so cold at the time that we felt we needed to call for urgent assistance. I have also notified them that we had trouble getting the gas to shut off from the right, rear burner on the stove. As many other guests have warned, the driveway is steep, not paved, and has holes. We almost get stuck right away in our manual transmission sedan, so we parked at the top of the driveway, outside of the gate for the duration of our stay. The outdoor space wasn't as small child friendly as I had hoped, but we were able to explore the yard a little bit and put the playpen on the deck. The hot tub was a major draw for us and it did not disappoint! Relaxed in it every night we were there. Overall, a great stay, and we have already talked about coming back another time.

Monica April 2021
The cabin was cute and very relaxing. The hot tub worked great and had such a lovely view. The beach is only about 15 minutes away which made this an even better location.

Ryan March 2021
Truly a wonderful cabin the woods. Incredible to enjoy a soak in a hot tub under a canopy of redwoods. The house itself is very charming. We enjoyed little jaunts into Guerneville and Duncan Mills as well.

Maria March 2021
This was such a lovely stay! My anniversary was so perfect because of this amazing find. Everything about this place was amazing, including the people and shops in town!

Rebecca February 2021
Such a quaint and dreamy spot tucked away under the redwoods. We had an amazing few days and are already looking forward to coming back!

Tinsley February 2021
Dreamcatcher was the perfect escape! This adorable cabin is tucked away up a mountain, and surrounded by Redwoods. It's so incredibly cozy, we found it hard to want to leave during the day. The kitchen has everything you need to cook fantastic meals so you don't need to go anywhere, but Guerneville is only a 30 min drive if you want to go into town or forgot something. The hot tub was super clean and has amazing views. The gas fireplace and electric heater keep the cabin nice & toasty, but make sure you bring firewood to complete the cabin experience. We can't wait to visit again!

Brian February 2021
This is a charming, romantic space for an intimate getaway. We had a great time celebrating our anniversary here. The space is comfortable, well-equipped, and cozy. There are wonderful hiking and sight-seeing opportunities nearby. (This is very minor, but despite getting a fire going, we did have trouble getting the wood stove to heat up the cabin.) We would go back in a heartbeat.

Ka February 2021
Awesome!!!!!!! Highly recommended

Anadelia December 2020
Beautiful cabin and cozy, stayed there for a week and it was perfect. Great wifi to work during the day. This is a great spot for a getaway from the city.

Tara December 2020
What a magical little cabin. This is the type of place I hope to own someday, cozy, quaint, nestled in the trees. This is the perfect spot to run away and relax. Loved the selection of movies and enjoyed watching Sinatra after a lovely time in the hot tub. My sister and I had a soul healing time and look forward to returning. We left a fairy house in the forest. Hope someone enjoys that on their next stay.

Mark December 2020
A picture perfect cabin getaway. We found the Dreamcatcher a textbook example of Cozy.

Jared November 2020
We spent a lovely long weekend at this "cabin in the woods". It's a perfect spot for a little getaway from the city. The cabin itself is simple but very cute and well outfitted. It has a nice wood fire - be sure to bring wood if you're staying in the winter as it's not provided. It has a decent sized property that was great for our dog to run around in. The hot tub was lovely.

Liana November 2020
Our second time visiting and we will be back as soon as we can! Always such a lovely, cozy, peaceful space. The cabin itself is so charming, with beautiful wood timber and homey touches. Well appointed for cozy fireside evenings and home cooking. Perched right in an incredible redwood forest with plenty of space for the dog.

Xoch November 2020
The dream catcher cabin it’s the ideal place to relax and have a romantic getaway. I was a little concerned about the driving bc we don’t have a 4x4 vehicle, however we made it without any problems. Definitely I recommend the dream catcher cabin.

Janell November 2020
This was a nice cozy place but it is much older looking than the photos depict. The kitchen pots and pans and microwave are very old. The shower is not the greatest but it works. The lighting in the house is very dark. There is a DVD player but it doesnt work properly. The driveway has divits and is rocky so be careful when parking in the driveway because I almost didn't make it out. The hot tub was great, it was the best part. It was clean and heated to 102 degrees which was perfect. Hot tub area could definitely have used a little more lighting. Overall we enjoyed our stay but I dont think the cost matched the quality.

Sarah October 2020
Great little cabin!!! We loved how charming it was. The bed is a little hard, but I slept better than I had in ages. You do have neighbors, but they are quiet and out of the way. The hot tub is a dream at night (bing your own towels..they supply bath towels, but no extras). Hope to be back soon!

Ruby October 2020
Cute place! The outdoor cabin is a bit more rustic, ie worn down, than the pics but a great place to stay regardless.

Madeline October 2020
Loved the Dreamcatcher - will be booking again!

Kalyani October 2020
A very quaint place in a secluded spot on the hills. I took this place to do my solo trip. And I felt very safe. The driving roads are very steep as mentioned, so I was well prepared mentally on what to expect. The place was clean. However, I wish this place had basics like sugar, salt, pepper, oil that would help someone to have basic good cooked. I also wish that didn't ask us to do the dishes in the end and rather had a dishwasher. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend this place to anyone for a solo trip or max for a trip for two with a dog.

Ashley September 2020
Cute and quaint place in the woods. Unfortunately cut my trip short due to the smoke from the fires, but would definitely go back.

Miikka September 2020
We had a wonderful time at the Dreamcatcher. We had a reservation right after the forest forres in the North Bay. The communication with the host reassured us that we would't have problems during our stay. The house was awesomely rustic, just as described. It was quiet (except for the birds in the morning) and the road to the house didn't have much traffic at all. Soaking in the hot tub every evening in the darkness was just what we needed. Thank you!

Marco July 2020
The place was really good. Cabin style i to the woods. Obviously you need a better car, possibly a small one but with decent power (my wife had a golf GTI) to maneuver around the area and to go to the cabin. The place was very relaxing if you enjoy nature and quietness. Weather was perfect and the outdoor hot tub was a plus. Expect stairs and uneven grounds to walk through. They provided extra lamp coz the cabin can get dark inside. Overall, better than we expected and highly recommended to other people.

Mark July 2020
2nd time staying here in the last 10 months should say it all. We love it here and will stay again.

Gabriel July 2020
The road to this house is long, steep, and in very poor condition. I went up it with my 4Runner and can tell you, be ready for a fun ride. The driveway down to the property is steep as well, but nothing compared to the road up the hillside (the house is in the woods up a steep hill off a private road). Bring extra lighting and everything you will want (ingredients) for cooking. The place is dark and not even salt and pepper are provided. Other than these points, the photos accurately depict the property.

Response from Russian River Getaways July 2020
Thank you for the review and feedback, Gabriel. We hope you were able to enjoy the house, despite a bit of a journey up Magic Mountain. Due to State covid requirements, we have had to remove some types of high touch items from homes, including condiments. -Rachel

Heidi July 2020
We had a wonderful stay and thought the cabin was even more charming in person than in the pictures. The deck and hot tub were absolutely stunning. The property feels very secluded and private, though during the day be aware that the (very friendly) neighbor has two yappy dogs that hang out in the yard. As some other folks have mentioned, the road to the cabin is steep, and it can be challenging to get out of the dirt driveway. We only have a Toyota Yaris, so this is probably a non-issue if you have a truck or SUV. We had a brief hick-up when the hot tub would not heat up. We were able to get in touch with Russian River Getaways immediately, who gave us the contact for the people who maintain the hot tub. They were able to walk us through the issue in about 2 minutes, and all was well. We were very impressed with how smoothly this went! Due to Covid-19, we opted to bring our own dishes/silverware since there is no dishwasher onsite to disinfect dishes used by other guests. We hope to be back one day!

Aaron June 2020
Amazing Getaway. We loved the hot tub and location to Bodega Bay.

Diane March 2020
What to expect: It's just as pictured! Very sweet, rustic and charming. Don't expect anything fancy, and you will find this little rental delivers. It was sparkling clean when we arrived, and I found that RRG definitely goes out of their way to listen to feedback and return calls, so if something puzzles you, don't be shy about calling them! Heads up: the bed is a cabin bed with springs and if there are two of you, it may sag in the middle a bit, but just snuggle into it and you'll be good. Also, there are neighbors within eyesight of the deck/tub (although we did not see them once, just the side of their house) and also the quiet road) so bring a suit for the tub, lol! A great value for the cost and absolutely perfect to disappear into the woods and away from the city and all its noise for a while. If you have a truck or an SUV, you would be wise to take it rather than a compact, as the drive is unpaved and steep. You will love this sweet little place!

Morgan March 2020
Dreamcatcher was a dream! A perfect little cabin with every amenity we needed, nestled amongst the Redwoods. So simple and peaceful. Thank you!

Michelle March 2020
Romantic and cozy cabin with a hot tub in the redwoods. Great place!

Allie February 2020
Sweet cabin tucked up in stunning redwoods! A very short drive from home means we will absolutely be back to this adorable cabin. Perfect for our anniversary weekend and we already plan to return for our next anniversary!

Sarah January 2020
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this little house! It was very clean, we loved the smell of a fire right when you walk in and the setting was AMAZING!! We would definitely recommend this place to everybody!

David January 2020
Such a beautiful cabin. Just like the pics online. It was perfect!! We loved every moment and only regret we didn’t book for a longer stay. We look forward to coming back during the summer when it’s warmer outside so we can make more use of the deck. The hot tub was perfect for this chilly weather. Be prepared for a “real” cabin experience. Not a huge water heater so bathing is not ideal and unless you start a fire it can be a bit chilly..... but that is what you get when you stay in a cabin in the woods. No complaints here. We loved our stay and response of the staff when needed.

Response from Russian River Getaways January 2020
Thanks so much for the review and feedback, David. We are so glad you enjoyed Dreamcatcher and hope you'll be back! Just a note for next time... the house does have a gas fireplace for "instant" heat, along with the woodstove. -Rachel

Parina December 2019
Magical weekend getaway! Cabin is even better than the pictures.

Adam December 2019
Great cabin, great communication, awesome private location. Had all the extras you’d want - extra blankets, flashlights, fans, space heater, etc. Would come back for sure. Also, well stocked kitchen for preparing your own food :)

Rachel December 2019
A cute, quiet space perfect for a weekend getaway. We had a great time. Thank you!

Emma December 2019
Great

Nick November 2019
Place is perfect and cute. I really enjoyed everything about this AirBNB.

Dennis November 2019
Loved this place! My wife and I enjoyed the serenity and peace. The hot tub was awesome as was the interior.

Oliver K October 2019
It's a pretty great spot for a getaway. Everything you could need. Very enjoyable.

Marissa October 2019
Overall a pretty good stay! It was very peaceful and a great spot for a getaway. Only wish that there weren’t so many cobwebs, and that there was more lighting in the house and outside of it. Also, beware the house is on a slope! So if you have a small car, it is very hard to drive up it when wanting to leave.

Brian October 2019
If you like quiet, being surrounded by the woods, perhaps a bit of solitude, clean air, but with some outstanding amenities (wood-burning fireplace, hot tub, gas grill), then this is the place for you. Set a little ways back from downtown Guerneville so peace and quiet is definitely on the menu here. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Mira September 2019
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. It provided exactly the peace and quiet we needed. This is such a cute little cabin surrounded by beautiful trees, and close to lovely small towns like Guerneville. We enjoyed watching movies, playing board games, relaxing in the jacuzzi, sitting out on the deck in the evening, and driving to nearby Guerneville for breakfast. No, this isn’t a glamorous 5 star hotel, but it has all the basics you need and so much charm. The perfect getaway place to unwind and reconnect with someone special. We loved our stay.

Jasper September 2019
We enjoyed this charming secluded cabin in the woods. Great place if you want to be alone, rest and enjoy a hot tub. A bit far drive to restaurants and other amenities, so just keep in mind as you plan.

Mark September 2019
Great little cabin with a very nice hot tub

Vanessa September 2019
Great stay! I loved the privacy of the place and spending the night outside in the hot tub; it was truly amazing.

Christen July 2019
The perfect, quiet weekend getaway!

Joseph July 2019
A great place to escape and unwind.

Emily July 2019
Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but the cabin is indeed very rustic and fairly remote. Getting to any attractions involves driving on more narrow country roads, but the nearby town of Guerneville is well worth the 15 minute drive. If you’re looking for a secluded getaway with limited amenities, the Dreamcatcher may be the spot for you. We were disappointed by the TV not working and the high amount of chlorine in the hot tub.

David June 2019
A perfect rustic cabin tucked into a secluded redwood grove. The best element of the property is the wonderful deck and hot tub.

Sean June 2019
Cute house in relatively secluded location. Be careful of steep driveway and paths into house. No air conditioning or screens on windows, so not ideal for hot/summer stays.

John May 2019
Beautiful getaway and very peaceful would definitely return again

Mario May 2019
Stay here but be warned the bath water doesnt stay hot for long.

Response from Russian River Getaways May 2019
Thanks for the feedback, Mario. We hope you enjoyed your stay at Dreamcatcher despite the bath water issue. We will have that checked out. -Rachel

Sandra May 2019
I would recommend this place. It is under the big trees, and the spa was heavenly to use at night.

Dixie April 2019
Amazing experience!! We found this little darling cabin over a year ago and finally was able to spend 3 days here. Went by far to quickly! Do you need to getaway and let nature revive your tired "self" - this is the place to do it!!! I can't miss mentioning how prompt the Hosts are to respond to any questions and it was a perfect stay!! Thank you again!!

Laynie April 2019
This house is in the most amazing location. For being so remote and private, you're also only a 20 minute drive from Guerneville and Occidental. There were all the necessary tools for cooking dinners in the small kitchen. The porch is fantastic, it has a wonderful view of the trees and mountainside - a few deer even popped in to say hello on their way down the mountain! The cabin is cozy and clean.

Paul April 2019
It was a peaceful place to stay,I slept like a baby.

Kourtney April 2019
Great spot that's well worth the visit. It is exactly what you would imagine when looking at photos! Excellent getaway.

Madeline March 2019
Wonderful getaway! Quiet, scenic, and perfect for a romantic trip for two.

Alex March 2019
This is a truly charming and cozy cabin that I really loved and plan to return to it when I can. The interior is very warmly decorated, and it has a really personal touch that makes you feel immediately at home and relaxed. The outdoor areas are lovely for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening, and the hot tub is wonderful. One thing that we did not particularly like was the fact that the bathroom door is slatted, which means you have very little privacy even with it shut. You may not be able to see what's happening, but you sure can hear it if you're nearby. I wouldn't spend time here unless you were VERY comfortable with your traveling companion.

Valerie March 2019
Could not have had a lovelier time. My Bf and I already cant wait to come back this was the perfect place in the best location. Loved our escape from the city and would highly recommend especially to people who are looking for an escape from the city or life in general. If you're looking for a place with more to offer than beautiful hikes and some riverside fun I'd recommend you look elsewhere. This just happened to be exactly perfect for what I wanted out of a destination. Thank you so much for hosting us! Look forward to staying here again!!!

Anna March 2019
This little cabin in the redwoods is a wonderful place to get away from the daily grind and relax. The location and decor is lovely and cozy. Quick drive to the coast and lots of beautiful beaches. But even if you just want to stay in, cook, read and relax in front of the wood stove, this place is just lovely. The one bummer: due to the old and/or broken bed we didn't really sleep well at all during our stay, despite the upstairs bedroom being just the coziest loveliest room, with the sound of the rain on the roof. Crossing my fingers that the owners will consider replacing the mattress, as we'd definitely return if the bed was a little comfier!

Response from Russian River Getaways March 2019
Thank you for the the feedback Anna. We are so sorry about the bed. The housekeeper noticed the bed did not look right and after investigating we realized there was a broken support. It's all fixed up now and I'm so sorry you didn't get good sleep here. We hope the rest of you stay was enjoyable! Please visit again sometime! ~Maile

Clayton February 2019
My wife and I had a really good stay. We brought our two dogs, which was a nice feature of this place, and we had a very cozy time all together. The hot tub in the woods is incredible. It was chilly in February, but cabins usually are in the winter so we wore a lot of socks and sweatpants and lit fires. The heater for the place (not the woodstove) did not make it very warm, so we recommend making a fire in the woodstove and bundling up with clothes/blankets, which is nice in a cabin anyways. The bed was not comfortable when we visited, but that's because the frame was broken, which we told them about, so hopefully that's fixed for the next people. If you like a harder mattress, it should be good for you. If you like a soft mattress, you should bring your own padding. Luckily, we brought our own. Also, it's really close to some incredible beaches. When we were there in mid-February, there were dozens of Harbour Seals and hundreds of seagulls congregating at Goat Rock Beach (15 minutes away), which was a really cool experience. And the baked goods at the cafe in Duncan's Mills (5-10 minutes away) were incredible, and a great way to start the day.

Gwendolyn February 2019
We booked this place to get away from the grind and relax for three days and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. The cabin is so cozy and welcoming, we could have stayed for a week!

Jean February 2019
Had a lovely time staying @ the DreamCatcher. Brought my girlfriend up to Russian River to escape the City-life for a couple nights. Enjoyed the BBQ & the hot tub & being surrounded by nature. What more can you ask for??! Also, Great communication from RR Getaways.

Valerie February 2019
The dreamcatcher is a secluded charming cabin tucked away in the forest about two hours north of San Francisco. While the cabin is personal, just be aware that you need to bring some staple items like coffee or tea with you. The jacuzzi is nice, but we had a hard time figuring out the temperature gauge. So relaxing to chill in there will the trees are lit up around you! Loved working from here and the internet is dependable.

Jenny February 2019
this place is perfect, rustic, delicious. run, don't walk.

Amy January 2019
Cozy house. Feels like you are away from everything. Super quiet. Lovely space. Didn’t want to leave

Dustin January 2019
Great location. FYI The driveway is steep. Really nice cabin and the owner is organized and responsive. I never had a need to interact as everything was provided in advance. No hassle. Would recommend.

Cherena January 2019
I highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway.

Robert January 2019
Great spot. We enjoyed our time- thank you

Anup December 2018
A great stay in the redwoods! There are some things others have already flagged (TV isn't working and some of the appliances/etc are old) but in our perspective, all fine and had no impact for a wonderful stay. Check-in was smooth and the space around the house is great for a dog.

Daniel December 2018
We've stayed in many cozy cabins in Cazadero. This was one of the more expensive ones, which is why we were surprised it was such a "batteries not included" experience. We were supposed to wash our towels afterwards, but couldn't find laundry detergent. We wanted to cook the eggs we brought, but there wasn't any butter or olive oil (kitchen basics). We wanted to dry our dishes but there weren't any dish towels. We wanted to light the stove as instructed with the lighter provided, but it was out of fuel; when we tried to light the stove with the on-stove controls, the cabin filled with gas which was scary and a safety issue. We wanted to watch a movie, but only one of the _seven_ remotes had batteries in it--and those batteries were dead. We wanted to cozy up to a wood fire, but wood wasn't included. (Many other cabins that offer wood burning stoves also include wood.) We left the cabin better than we found it, with kindling and some wood, new batteries in the remotes, and some kitchen basics. That said, we didn't want to spend our getaway weekend time getting batteries for someone else's remote. The cabin itself and location were great; in so many ways, though, the actual experience wasn't a smooth relaxing vacation; figuratively and literally, Batteries Not Included.

Response from Russian River Getaways December 2018
Thank you for your feed back Daniel, we appreciate it. We will look into these issues and address them. I'm happy to hear you liked the cabin. ~Maile

Joelle November 2018
What a wonderful picturesque cabin in the redwoods. It rained the few days we were there which made it all the more cozy. It was exceptionally clean for a very old cabin, very comfortable.

Viktoryia November 2018
The location is magical. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Unfortunately, we had to check out earlier due to smog from the fires, but definitely come again when travelling in the area

Donovan October 2018
Cozy and rustic. My wife and I escaped to this cute little cabin for a couple of restful days. We enjoyed the privacy and beautiful redwoods the surround the house. The hottub and grill were great. Recommended!

Victor October 2018
A super cute cabin in the woods! Just what we were looking for to get away for the weekend. The BBQ pit and hot tub made our stay. The wood burning stove worked like a charm. Definitely suggest this cabin chr or a getaway.

Drew October 2018
Cozy cottage that unfortunately was very smelly (perhaps a cleaning product gone bad??) when we walked in... it dissipated minimally throughout out 3 night stay. Location was great... it's an amazing area of CA.

Karey October 2018
Romantic getaway in the redwoods! What a beautiful magical place to rest, and enjoy the nature the area has to offer, loved having the wood burning stove as well as the gas one, super cute place, we spent 3 nights and loved it.

Austin October 2018
This was a perfect, secluded cabin for anyone looking for an off-the-beaten-path eclectic place to stay in California, right in the redwoods. There was a grocery store nearby so we could stock up on grocery’s, and plenty of basics like dish soap, paper towels, and trash bags were provided. The place looked exactly as described, and was sparkling clean. (There was a surprising lack of bugs.) I’d recommend it!

Response from Russian River Getaways October 2018
We are so thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay Austin! Thank you for being a wonderful guest and we hope you come back for a return visit! ~Maile

July September 2018
My weekend here was an absolute dream. I will definitely be back!

Catrina September 2018
We really enjoyed our weekend and will come back!

Gary September 2018
Such a sweet place to stay... a great, clean place for two and a dog. It is quiet, in the redwoods, reasonably close to area activities (beaches, the river, restaurants) and completely charming. As a cook, I probably wouldn't plan on making elaborate meals (tiny kitchen) but we knew that going in and that was not the point of our stay, which was a quiet getaway (and it is perfect for that!). We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and would definitely visit again.

Matthew July 2018
beautiful cabin. great location (quiet but close to the town / good food)

Jenna June 2018
We had a great time! The cabin is secluded, but only a short drive from surrounding towns, restaurants and activities. After a day of swimming, hiking and sightseeing, it was nice to relax in the hot tub amongst the trees. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the dogs liked exploring the grounds.

Scott June 2018
We loved this place! It was the perfect mix of old school cabin and peace and quite. It is a perfect location to explore the Russian River, close to lots of swimming and hiking. Duncan Mills is a hop skip and jump away from the cabin which is awesome to grab morning coffee, home made scones, muffins and Turkey Pesto croissants. The cabin is tucked nicely under the redwoods which made for an excellent morning coffee wake up and night time hang out. We felt super comfy and enjoyed all the woodsy feel of the cabin. ENJOY!

Zach May 2018
We had an amazing stay! We came here for our honeymoon. I’m a fan of the Caribbean, BUT this is the single best place to come on honeymoon! Private, beautiful, fun, plenty to explore and do! Planning a trip back here FOR SURE!

David & Mo May 2018
Amazing place surrounded by redwoods. We'd come back in a heart beat. Relaxing, meditative environment. If you are bringing a dog like we did (or not), just beware there are 4 or 5 dogs on surrounding properties (could be miles away) that do go off barking and sending each other messages I think. :). Our pup couldn't careless, but if you have a dog that reacts to others barking it might not be so peaceful. The main culprit is on the otherside of the proberty fence about 50 yards away. But the owner only had it out sporadically. Hot tub gets up to 104 and was great for soaking any time of day. Well situated to feel you have the privacy you need and also surrounded by redwoods. There is a wood burning stove which it should be noted is for heat (and wood burning essence) but not for visual ambiance. If you're not familiar with them you can easily fill the home with smoke. There are two cutes towns about 5 or 10 minutes away in case you forget anything or do want to dine out. We had an amazing time and plan on going back!

Leigh May 2018
We enjoyed our stay for our anniversary trip! This was a great spot for some peace and quiet relaxation. We took time to enjoy the cabin and the wonderful hot tub and wood-burning stove. This was just what we were looking for while still being close to Guerneville and the redwoods.

Cassidy April 2018
This charming place is set back in the redwoods. You instantly feel calm in this serene setting. I took my bike for a 50 mile ride to the coast and back and enjoyed a great hot tub after. Love this place

Joshua March 2018
We did not actually get to stay here due to flights from DFW to SFO getting cancelled into the following afternoon.

Erin January 2018
Overall, this is a beautiful, secluded cabin that allows for a wonderful romantic getaway. It was a huge plus that they allow dogs, and the fenced in property allowed our pup to explore without much worry that she would wander away too far. The deck and hot tub are amazing features that allow you to really relax and unplug. The kitchen was also a huge plus - there is a gas stovetop and oven that make it easy to make a quick meal while you are there. The kitchen is also stocked with pots, pans, knives, cutting boards, etc. You will be fairly close to Guerneville and popular spots to check out the Russian river, and there is a very cute town close by with some great antique shops and coffee/breakfast joints! Be aware that there is NO cell service here (could be a plus - and helps you feel more secluded!) and the drive up to the house is very steep/narrow, so hybrid/smart car drivers look out! A few things to note (which is the only reason this wasn't a five star review) 1. Some of the amenities seemed a bit worn, could use a new shower curtain, couch a bit worn, etc. 2. During our stay, the wifi was a bit spotty. Not the worst thing for sure! But it was difficult for us to get directions or have downtime to chill out. 3. VERY minor but the neighbors have two dogs who seemed to bark every time we/our dog went outside. Luckily our dog is quiet and doesn't bark back, but if you have an excitable pup you'll need to watch out as they will likely get pretty amped up.

Response from Russian River Getaways January 2018
Thank you for the review and feedback, Erin - both are much appreciated. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you'll be back our way again soon! -Rachel

Sebastian January 2018
I booked a trip to the Russian River area and this stay at Dreamcatcher for myself and my girlfriend for Christmas. We had planned to stay for 3 days, 2 nights exploring the area and enjoying some time relaxing in the redwoods. We were very excited about our stay, and while we were delighted with the quaint and rustic nature of the cabin - which we were expecting, we ended up disappointed upon our arrival. As other reviews have stated, the cabin is covered in old cobwebs. They are literally everywhere. Spiders nests in the rafters above the bed in the loft, as well as behind the bed, which was unsettling. We ended up pulling the bed away from the window/wall before we went to bed to try and increase our distance and hopefully avoid encouraging any visitors to join us as we slept. We both woke the next morning with incredibly achy backs and shoulders as the mattress is extremely hard and rolls you together towards the middle. We also found that the couch downstairs was very dusty and covered in dog fur. This was going to be the sleeping option for night 2 since we weren't willing to do another in the loft area but finding that was pretty discouraging, especially given the astronomical cleaning fee! Given that you're required to do your own dishes and take out the trash before you leave, based on this experience, I'm left wondering what exactly it is that the cleaning service does outside of washing the linens and making the bed anew. What we had hoped would be a wonderful 3-day weekend ended up getting cut down to 1-day, 1-night. I will say that the setting is quite lovely, the hot tub is certainly enjoyable and allows you to take in the nature and redwood forest the cabin is set in to. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend staying with this host.

Response from Russian River Getaways January 2018
This review leaves me a little confused as your stay occurred in the middle of January, not over Christmas, but I'm also a bit stumped by the fact that we heard not one word from you about any of this until you left this review, and we could have easily sent someone in to help you. Cobwebs and their residents are one of the less awesome realities of renting a rustic home deep in the redwoods. We clear them out, and they move right back in. I apologize if there were more than you were comfortable with but please know that you can always call us, and we will do our best to help you. Obviously, there should not be excessive dust, dog hair or cobwebs, so we will review with the housekeeper and keep a close eye. We will also check out the bed, although often bed comfort is a more often than not a matter of personal taste. In any case, thank you for feedback, Sebastian. -Rachel

Laura January 2018
This place was perfect for a romantic getaway. It was very clean and comfortable, and it felt like we were in the middle of the forest. The hot tub was clean and well maintained. Don't forget extra towels and kindling for the wood stove.

Alison November 2017
Our little cabin in the woods. We had so much fun, even on a rainy day. It was just magical.

Kathryn July 2017
My husband and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing week away to recharge, and that's exactly what we got. The cabin was cozy and perfect for spending the day in, reading on the couch or relaxing in the hot tub on. We will definitely be returning next time we vacation in the area.

Tony June 2017
Rustic cabin up a lonely one way mountain road. Environs and amenities very appropriate for a cabin in the woods. WiFi worked great, self-check in was flawless (don't forget your code), hot tub under the redwoods was a nice conclusion to a day of hiking. A few notes for your stay: The cabin is not as secluded as the description and images would seem, rather it is fairly close to other cabins along the street. Much of the acreage was to the back of the house sloping down the mountainside. The neighbor's house and backyard is very visible along the fenceline about 30 feet away along overgrown grass. The bathroom is on the ground floor while the bed is in the attic with a sloped roof -- be careful getting out of bed as you're likely to hit your head, and grab a flashlight for the long trek down to the loo, a stair-end shelf obstructs part of your passage. There is no dishwasher, so dishes must be handwashed, to be expected. The wood burning firestove did not work, the "vent" turner did not seem attached to the air outflow pipe so smoke would end up filling the house. Finally, while the description states that the place is "dog friendly", do note that the cleaning requirements are very strict -- requiring you to pick up any residue from your pets, including any visible pet hair, off the carpets or risk incurring a surcharge. This may just be catch-all language by the management company, for surely the $145 cleaning fee includes a vacuuming of the small premises, but we didn't want to risk it so we ended our stay by combing the carpets.

Justin April 2017
Really enjoyed my week of solitude at this beautiful home. Highly recommend!

Jason March 2017
Fantastic getaway cottage. Highly recommend

Tyler February 2017
Magical little cabin in the redwood forest. My girlfriend and I(and our lil dog) had a beautiful, relaxing, and memorable stay in this cozy cabin, tucked away and in the redwoods. It's the perfect place to shut the world out and recharge in a peaceful secluded forest environment. Also, hot tub! Special thanks to Russ & Dave for the She-Devil VHS tape.

Ashley February 2017
So this is a mixed review. The house is adorable and the location gorgeous. However - there was an outage for over 12 hours and neither my partner nor I had any sort of service in the area. We followed the manual on what to do in such an event, only to find the house was ill-equipped; there are few working batteries and no backup battery for the modem, plus the matches and lighter were not really suit for lighting the gas stove. The house is close enough to hear neighbors' generators. The host was dismissive and/or did not try to understand our frustration when I tried to contact them regarding this issue. Additionally, there were visible cobwebs and a few dirty dishes despite the very high cleaning fee. We loved the area and the house was adorable, but we will not be staying with this host again.

Matt January 2017
Fantastic little spot for those looking for something more than the usual bland, Ikea-laden identikit places, yet don't want to sacrifice basics like cleanliness, decent water pressure and wifi. AND it has a sweet hot tub, nestled discreetly amongst the trees. Awesome. It has a great mix of rustic charm, lived-in authenticity and quirky detailing. If you're expecting top-end appliances and egyptian cotton sheets, maybe cabin life isn't for you - just go to a hotel already. As with most places like this, it can get pretty cold overnight, so pack sensibly and get busy with the wood stove! It doesn't take long to get the whole place cosy and warm. A few extra towels wouldn't have gone amiss, but other than that, it was great. We read the mixed reviews, decided to go for it anyway, and are glad we did! We loved our weekend here and plan to come back. Thanks!

Josh January 2017
The cabin was very romantic and perfect for a long weekend getaway. Very private surroundings amongst the tree - the hot tub is great. Everything is rustic but in a great way - very clean and cosy. Our trip was marred with a few issues - the fireplace and wifi didn't work. This was a big pain but the management company was responsive and dealt with it well, sending someone out within 10 min even though they couldn't fix it. The other slightly annoying thing is that you need to download an app and sign a separate agreement after booking which is a minor frustration. All that said, it was a lovely place and I'd recommend to any couple wanting to get away - provided the fireplace and wifi get fixed!

Elisa December 2016
Everything was wonderful.

Rebecca August 2016
We had high hopes for our first time visiting the Russian River area. Our cottage looked very charming on the pictures, but once we arrived we were very disappointed. It smelled musty and greasy, was dark without enough lighting (in forest so not much natural light). The bath mat was wet upon our arrival. Many spiders and webs. Ragged hand towel at bathroom sink. Literally, one I would use to clean my car. Steps to loft not to code as the risers are narrow, handrail too low to be safe. The carpet on the stairs is ragged. There was someone else's food spilled on the tablecloth and old lip gloss on the table, as well. The bedroom loft is so small you cannot stand next to the bed. You must crawl from the foot of the bed to get in. Once in, the bed is hard and uncomfortable and sinks to the middle. The pillows were horrible. Flat and old. It is a gorgeous location, but we didn't feel comfortable. Stayed one night. Shower too creepy and dark to use. This house could be darling with a little TLC. We paid for 4 nights and are currently trying to get some compensation for our anniversary trip cut short.

Rob June 2016
Dreamcatcher was a sublime experience. For a guy and his dog, it was perfect. Cool misty mornings in the redwoods that gave way to hot, peaceful, summer afternoons. The house was wonderfully appointed, and certainly a very rustic little cabin. I could foresee a number of folks taking issue with the exterior (some leaves, tree moss on the roof/sky light), or the hot water (it runs out easily,) or the wonky lights (turning on some, could short-out others.) However, this sort of experience was exactly what I was hoping for - and this home delivered. One tough spot: due to the mid-day heat, I would have loved to open the windows. No screens, however, so the bedroom loft upstairs was unbearably hot. No worries! Spent both nights on the downstairs couch in front of a movie. There are neighbors (at least 1-2 houses) close by, but the home sits on 1+ acres of fenced-in land, providing a nice sense of isolation. It was great for my dog! He loved running around and chasing squirrels while I grilled steaks out back. All in all, such a wonderful weekend, and an unforgettable, relaxing adventure. Thanks again! R

Matt May 2016
This little cabin was perfect. It has a little cabin feel without feeling overly rustic. We spent 3 nights here and had a really nice relaxing time. The hot tub was a must for us and did not disappoint. The kitchen has all the cookware you need to make your own meals for your stay. It's pretty close to downtown Guerneville if you'd like to get out for a bit. Would definitely come back.

Joe May 2016
This cabin overall is quite nice and in a beautiful area. That said it is rustic and a lot of stuff in the cabin is quite tired, so don't expect a luxury experience. We also felt like the management company was a bit stingy with the little things (like soap and extra towels for the hot tub for example) which would have made the place feel more welcoming and special. If the service is going to be bare bones I like to know in advance so I can prepare accordingly. It's a nice place but bring extra towels and read the list of provided items very carefully!

Kerry April 2016
Beautiful place. Very warm and cozy. Easy to find. I am looking forward to staying here again!!

Noreen December 2019
Peaceful and cozy cabin in the woods! Had a great weekend sleeping and relaxing.

Mark September 2019
This place is awesome! Just a bit off the road but still close enough to so many things. You will never want to leave the cabin!
