"A perfect place to relax"

5 of 5

Stayed Sep 25 2018 to Sep 29 2018
A fabulous place to relax. This cabin was exactly as pictured and advertised. Very clean and the surrounding property is very well kept. We were able to relax and unwind in this beautiful location, and especially enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the river during a full moon. The place is simply perfect, and we also enjoyed the big fireplace. Thank you for such a great vacation experience. We hope to return in the future.

"Great classic cabin "

5 of 5

Great classic cabin in the middle of the redwoods with a hot tub overlooking the river. We had a quick but very relaxing weekend trip; cabin was comfy with a big fireplace and location was close to great restaurants (Seaside Metal) and wineries (Porter Creek). Highly recommend.

"Johnny's Landing"

Tucked away under the trees and on the river, a perfect getaway. The log cabin made us feel like we were lost in time and location. Also very close to Guerneville stores and bars!

"This place is right on the river..."

5 of 5

This place is right on the river. It is very cozy and small, but for my wife and I it was plenty big. It appears that you wouldn't be able to see the dock from the house or deck which would be worrisome if the kids were playing on the dock. The staff managing the place is very nice and great and responsive. I would recommend for the getaway.

Manager Response:

Thanks for the review and recommendation, John! We're glad you enjoyed your stay at Johnny's and hope you'll be back. For future reference, very few docks in this area are visible from the house, so, if this is important to you, I suggest asking the host plenty of questions ahead of time. -Rachel

Manager Response:

Very close to downtown Guerneville; can easily walk along the highway into town for a quick bite to eat or drink. The cabin is very cozy with a nook like kitchen. The spa is the highlight: surrounded by beautiful treesand a perfect spot to watch the river.

"Johnny's Landing was everything we we wanted..."

5 of 5

Johnny's Landing was everything we we wanted for a weekend getaway: a cozy, dog-friendly cabin on the river minutes from downtown Guerneville. The house is charmingly rustic and creates an experience of being nestled away in a remote cabin in the woods. Our favorite features were the fenced yard for the dogs to run around in, the comfortable bed, the river view from the hot tub, and the large fireplace that transforms the living into a warm, inviting space to snuggle up in. I would choose to stay here again next time we come to the Russian River.

-John (Airbnb guest) on 02/18/2018

If you are seeking a one of a kind rustic and charming little cabin in the redwoods on the river this is the spot! It’s a tiny and charming cabin in a neighborhood setting with original old school character. The rock fireplace was right out of a fairytale! We visited in the winter and brought our own wood as it is not supplied. The front garden was sweet and I imagine in warmer seasons would be a great spot to hangout as well as the back deck

"Perfect birthday getaway"

5 of 5

We staid for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. The kitchen is small but well equipped with plenty of cookware. We had a fire in the fireplace every night and loved the hot tub. Can’t wait to book it again.

"Amazing location with a hot tub overlooking the river"

5 of 5

Amazing location with a hot tub overlooking the river. Such a tiny and cozy log cabin, ideal for 2. We used the fireplace all weekend as the place is quite cold without it. Loved being able to have fires! We were very cozy and would definitely come back again. Also, I left something there and the property management company found it and are mailing to me. Great service! Thank you so much!

"Perfect place to unplug after wildfires in Santa Rosa"

0 of 5

I was looking for a cabin in the woods with a creek, but they're seasonal, so I opted for riverfront. This cabin let me have both. I was surrounded by redwoods and felt like i was truly in the woods. The stairway in the back, leads down to the river. There wasn't a dock or an actual beach, but it didn't stop us from sitting on the steps while having a glass of wine and just listening to the river. The hot tub was nice and perfect for 2 people. My small dog loved the cabin and all the outdoor space. It was fenced all around and there were several gates, which allowed us to control the areas she had access to. I booked this cabin before the wildfires hit our city of Santa Rosa, but talk about perfect timing! Felt good to breathe fresh air for a few days. And the guy who works for Russian River getaways was even nice enough to call us in advance to check on us, when he read where we were from. He offered us the cabin in case we were evacuated, but with the craziness of trying to get back to our jobs, we couldn't accept it early. But once we checked in that Friday, he gave us the option of checking out a day later based on everything we'd just gone through. We had to go back to work that Monday, unfortunately, but it felt like we had gained a whole day because we stayed until dinnertime on Sunday, instead of checking out at 11am. We really felt taken care of. They provide all the kitchen essentials, so all you need to bring is food. The cell reception was little to none, which was perfect for me. Just put my phone on Airplane mode the whole weekend and occasionally logged on to the wifi (worked great for Netflix on my laptop). Thank you for the great weekend and we'll definitely visit again.

"We had a great time"

5 of 5

The rustic cabin was great and was exactly what we were looking for. The setting is amazing - secluded and nestled in the redwoods right by the Russian River. The deck with the hot tub is built around the redwoods in the back yard. We had a great time.

"GET WHAT YOU SEE"

If you like the pictures you will love this place. A wonderful spot snug in the trees and on the river. You feel like you are miles from no where but just minutes from town. I look forward to being able to come back next year!

"Quaint and relaxing"

4 of 5

Cozy, quaint, beautiful location and view! Loved the deck overlooking the river and the enclosed front yard. Very dog friendly~ clean. Only prob was the fireplace must not draw well; Well we never had a fire, the cabin smelled smoky the entire time. So we kept the doors open as much as possible. Also, the bedding in the box by the fireplace was musty and the pillowcases didn't smell fresh, or maybe it was the pillows. I think next time we would bring our own pillowcases and blankets

For two people this works fine. Quaint , cozy, relaxing. Had fun floating the river on the provided tubes. Also enjoyed the hot tub every morning.

"The cabin was adorable on the river"

The cabin was adorable on the river. We used the fire place and the hot tub, it was a great weekend getaway. Close enough that we could walk to town for meals and close to wineries. A very special place for a weekend away!

"There was a very scenic view from the patio..."

4 of 5

There was a very scenic view from the patio and the hot tub over looks the river and is pretty private from the neighbors. The gas grill looks pretty rusted out, so I wouldn't cook on it without laying down foil. You must bring everything you need if you want to cook (including salt, pepper, oil etc) and you must bring your own firewood if you want to make a fire. This place is in a great location close to downtown Guerneville but far enough removed you don't hear any of the downtown noise. It's also driving distance to many excellent wineries. The bed in the bedroom was comfortable and the hot tub was amazing.

Manager Response:

Thanks for the review Lauren! We're glad you enjoyed the little log cabin with the amazing view (from the hot tub!) so close to town (can you tell Johnny's is one of my favorites?) and hope you'll be back! We will definitely check out the grill and get it cleaned up or replaced, whatever is necessary. Rachel, Russian River Getaways

It is a few steps below rustic & not very clean. The pictures show lots of outdoor space which is very deceiving. They definitely took liberties with the pictures. A huge disappointment for our vacation.

"Classic Russian River Hideaway"

4 of 5

Johnny's Landing is a cozy well appointed cabin in the redwoods overlooking the Russian River. It was a quiet time on the river, the hot tub is small but certainly provided an opportunity to enjoy a relaxing soak under the stars. The location is great for exploring the town of Guerneville on foot and driving to the surrounding locations of Sonoma, Napa and the coast. The staff at Russian River Getaways were very helpful and responded immediately to helping reset the pilot light on the heating system. The cabin interior has a vintage feel. The sofa may have seen better days but I enjoyed it to lounge, relax and sip a local glass of pinot. The leather chairs are solid and comfortable. The fireplace is huge. The walls are seasoned with rich wood tones that make the space seem a bit dark but opening the curtains lets in the light to brighten the space. We enjoyed our quiet and peaceful time at Johnny's Landing and if you are looking for a place to recharge and getaway from the busy world, this is a great place to spend a few days. Looking forward to our next visit to the area. Cheers!

"Great location and hot tub..."

2 of 5

Great location and hot tub, but poor cleanliness and light inside the place... too pricey.

Manager Response:

Thanks for the review Nicolas! We're glad that you enjoyed your stay, location and hot tub. We've notified the housekeeper, who usually does a great cleaning job, of your concerns. Please note that this is an historic log cabin, so it also does not "clean up" the way a more modern home would. Some people love that rustic feel, and others don't. In any case, we hope you'll be back to the Russian River area, hopefully staying at a home that better meets your expectations. Rachel, Russian River Getaways

"Johnny's Landing"

My husband and I stayed for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary with our three dogs. I was delighted that there was no issue having the three of them stay with us as we enjoy bringing them along. The entire yard and deck is fenced which is very helpful for the four-legged children. The location was quiet and remote, exactly what we were looking for. The hot tub overlooks the river and is very peaceful. We were pleasantly surprised by the hiking options nearby and it was awesome that we were so close to Healdsburg as it's our favorite part of wine country. We used the gas grill on the deck many times during our stay and it worked well. The pots and pans are nothing fancy but got the job done for breakfast and lunch. The path to the river was open but kayaks weren't available during our stay. We'd love to go back to kayak down the river during the summer months. If you're looking for a quaint cabin in the woods for a quiet and peaceful stay, you definitely want to check this place out!

"The property was perfect for two of us and a dog"

3 of 5

The property was perfect for two of us and a dog. The location is extremely convenient. The home was cleaner than the photos made it look. The outdoor area was charming and provided many good spots for reading and relaxing. The grill and outdoor table made for perfect daytime meals. The hot tub was well maintained. We visited in March so it was chilly at night. The heater didn't work and we were definitely wearing layers inside. They provided electric blankets in the bed which were amazing. The provisions (soap, olive oil etc.) were very bare bones, but safeway is only a few minutes away. Check-in and out were easy since the office was only 4 minutes away. I wish they used the airbnb platform for communication. They only provide information through their proprietary app they require you download. This is run by a property management company and they seem very strict about use. They provided multiple documents explaining all the extra charges we might incur even after we paid the $145 cleaning fee. We tend to be extremely tidy guests and we felt on edge the whole weekend.

"Johnny's Landing"

3 of 5

My husband and I came to Johnny's for our anniversary. We wanted a private, quiet getaway and that is exactly what we got! The cabin is nestled in the trees and is charming and rustic. Our dog had a blast running around and we thoroughly enjoyed our time away. The hot tub was so relaxing! The whole thing was quite picturesque with the river down below the deck. Overall, we had a wonderful time and a beautiful trip. There was one aspect of our stay that I wish had been different. Upon check-in, the host advised that I was not to call them with questions as the answers to everything I would need were in a binder inside the cabin. After the first night the furnace stopped working (we didn't touch anything after turning it on, and it had worked just fine up to that point). I thoroughly read through the binder (twice) but there was nothing about what to do if it went out. There was a note on the kitchen window instructing us to leave the window cracked at all times or the pilot lights would go out. I don't know if that was referring to the stove, the furnace, or both, but we left it open the entire time. I probably should have called for help at that point but didn't. I take responsibility for not calling but felt too uncomfortable to do so. As we only had two nights for our anniversary trip I didn't want to risk an unpleasant interaction. I would have felt much better if I knew they would have been willing to help out with the problem. That being said, that little blip wasn't enough to negate all the great things about our experience. It was truly a lovely, relaxing and romantic getaway that we will remember fondly.

We had a lovely weekend in October at the cabin. It rained a bunch but the deck, hottub, and cabin were great. Better than expected - the pictures don't do it justice. It's small - but perfect for my husband, myself and our 3 month old for the week.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was such a wonderful experience. The cabin was quaint, rustic and very comfortable. If you are looking for a cozy cabin in the woods to hang out by the fireplace or relax in a hot tub overlooking the river this is definitely the place to use. We didn't want to leave. It's only a 15 min walk to town or a 3 min drive. So close to great bars and restaurants. My only issue was that the post shows a picture with a dock and kayaks on the river, this was the neighbors actually. This place had just a stair case that leads to the water and some inner tubes. If this is important to your trip, you may want to consider somewhere else or rent kayaks. Lovely place, I would definitely stay there again.

Finding the office and getting the keys could have gone a little smoother. Other than that the house and our stay was really nice. The location is very privet. It is still close to town for shopping and dining. Lush and green everywhere! The home is very comfortable with lots of seating and lighting. Sitting on the deck and using the spa was so relaxing it was hard to leave. Very quite and comfortable. The queen bed seemed small, but it was comfortable. Lot's to do in the area, hiking, fishing, rafting etc. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

"Johnny's was quiet and peaceful"

4 of 5

Johnny's was quiet and peaceful. Great for a small family, too small for more than that though. Enjoyed the hot tub and river access, only wished the weather was better. The sleeper couch was really uncomfortable to sleep on. To the point where the floor was a better option. Kitchen was cute and had everything we needed. Deck was great and outdoor space was perfect for our small dog. Would stay here again!

"As quaint as it appears online"

4 of 5

As quaint as it appears online. The bed is superb and comfortable, as are the sofa and chairs. Great location near town and don't let the highway proximity scare you - we couldn't hear it even in the slightest (and one of us, uh hum, is sensitive to noise). Our only complaint would be very limited supplies (ie: we had salt, but not even things like sugar, pepper, olive oil, shampoo, bar of soap...the basics), so you have to bring everything with you. Also, no outdoor pillows or hammock that we could find, so the outdoor space was limited to the deck and hot tub. Great place and would stay again.

"Johnny's Landing"

1 of 5

This was probably the worst Airbnb experience to date. Here is the short list of things that annoyed me: - I had to download, sign, and return a separate waiver. Is Airbnb's TOS not good enough? - I had to download a separate mobile app before I could gain access to the house. - I had to drive to a separate place (Russian River Resorts) to pickup (and return) keys. - The place advertised a fireplace and bbq. There was no firewood, kindling, or briquettes. - There was no soap or shampoo provided. - The house rules states that towels and such are to be put into the washing and the machine turned on prior to leaving. - The list of penalties is tiring ($20 per item left at the house as a recovery fee) - 3pm checkin time (I'm a full day price for less than 1/2 a day) The house was nice and comfortable and close to town. Not sure I'd use a resort company turned pseudo-Airbnb host again.

Manager Response:

We appreciate your feedback and we're sorry you did not have a flawless experience, Chris. However, we're glad the house was comfortable and you enjoyed the proximity to town! Russian River Getaways is proud to have 90% of our homes offering keyless entry, however, a few homes (including Johnny's Landing) don't have doors that are compatible with a keyless entry system. Therefore, we ask guests of these homes to pick up keys from our office at their convenience. The mobile app is not mandatory to download, but it's a great tool for storing your reservation info as well as a helpful directory of local attractions, restaurants and businesses. In the home's description on Airbnb, we try to be as detailed as possible about what amenities are and are not included. Thank you again for your feedback. We hope you're able to find a more suitable experience on your next trip to the Russian River!

"Great house--and quite private"

4 of 5

Great house--and quite private. Loved it and would go back again. Loved the hottub and the deck. Ah, miss it already. Please do keep in mind that the bathroom is in between the bedroom and the living room --and so traps people in the bedroom while another person is using the bathroom.

"The place was perfect"

5 of 5

My husband, our 5 month old son and our dog spent the week in the Russian River Valley at Johnny's! The place was perfect. First of all if you're looking for rustic charm, the aesthetics and setting are perfect. It's a true getaway without being in the middle of nowhere. We spend mornings and evenings in the hot tub on the deck looking out over the river and even though the houses next door are close the back deck is completely private and feels secluded. The house itself had everything we needed for the week and even though the kitchen is a little on the small side, we easily cooked ourselves big meals every night. We went during a time of year when the dock was not in and the river was pretty cold so we didn't take advantage of the river much but it didn't matter, the place was still 100% worth it. The location of the cabin was great as we were able to quickly get to the coast and also into wine country. The yard is completely enclosed which was great for our dog to run around. We will definitely be returning to Johnny's if we find ourselves back up in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at this riverside log cabin. The home was well appointed and as advertised. "Nice Little Cabin on the River"

4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Johnnys Landing for 3 nights. The cabin has access to the river and a nice view of the river from the deck with lots of trees for shade. At first when we arrived, the inside of the cabin seemed dark because of the wood panel walls, but when you open the windows, it was very nice. The cabin was equipped with everything, kitchen utensils, appliances etc. The kitchen is very tiny, but we managed just fine. We didnt do too much cooking. The cabin is small, but just right for 2 people and our dog loved it that he could go outside because the yard is fenced. The only critical comment that we have is that we didnt use the kayaks because they were quite dirty and it would have taken some work to clean them up to use. They are outside under the trees so it was understandable that they would get dirty. Maybe they need some kind of cover. Also there were no life jackets provided. The river is very shallow, but life jackets should still be available.

"Booking at Johnny's Landing"

3 of 5

The room was a little different in person as compared to the images online. There is no central heating system onsite and it tends to get fairly cold in the evenings, this was a little unpleasant. Other than that the back yard area that takes you down to the Russian River was overgrown with plants/bushes which made it difficult to get down to the river safely. Once you get down to the river there is a big drop and you're unable to get into the water without jumping in... Unfortunately, the water is not quite deep enough to jump into. We were unable to use the river from the rear of the property. Overall, I'll say the place was sufficient, it didn't exceed expectations by any means and was a little pricey for what was offered, although the hot tub was a nice inclusion.

"Nice River Access | Not private"

3 of 5

While there is nice river access during the summer months via 72 steps to an 8' x 8' floating dock, there is not much privacy. (Contracry to other reviews we've read online.)One bedroom window looks out to the street and the others to the neighbors. The living room windows open up to neighbors on both sides. The house on the east side of Johnny's Landing has deck that actually overlooks the deck and hot tub at Johnny's Landing and is less than four feet away.. While we were there, the renters in that house, ncluding their music, could be heard VERY clearly. They also had a dog (his name was Buster, yes that close) that would bark if we made any noise on our own deck!? When we moved to the other side of the yard (on chaises with no cushions, unlike those shown in the photos) there was a bigger dog at that neighbors and it barked as well. So, the most privacy we enjoyed was sitting on the dock, but even there you are very near the neighbors when they are at their own docks. Had it not been for the dock, we probably would have left. It sleeps up to four people, but the only way out of the bedroom is through the bathroom which was akward for us and we're a married couple. If you don't mind hearing others and keeping the curtains drawn, this is actually a nice little place, coveniently located and very charming...tucked under the redwoods.

"Quiet Log Cabin Pleasure"

4 of 5

This is the second time that we rented Johnny's Landing. It is a sweet cabin, river side with easy access down steps on a steep slope. There is a lovely deck and although the property is in a neighborhood, the home is very private and quiet. Inside the furnishings are simple and functional, the kitchen (for one person) well equipped and the bedroom adequate. The ambiance is "cabin" with the centerpiece being an outstanding, large stone fireplace. The owners have added a futon to the living room. It is comfortable and probably a fine bed for an additional two people. There are several ways that the cabin could be improved. There are 3 chandeliers, but no reading light in the LR. (We brought our own lamp this time.) There was no firewood left for us. Most owners leave a working fireplace set up with kindling and logs for a "first fire". It is a generous and inexpensive way to thank your guests. We missed that. There was no down quilt on the bed and the foam pad on the bed was okay but not great. Again, the bed in any rental costing $250 a night should be outstanding. This is an average bed.All in all though, this is a lovely place and we would definitely consider it again.

Manager Response:

Thanks so much for the good review and sharing your thoughts on the house. We'll make sure the owner sees it. We do welcome you back. -Rachel

"Perfect Setting"

5 of 5

My husband and I needed to get away and relax, somewhere near the water. I came across this wonderful shabby chic cabin at Russian River, right on the river with 2 kayaks. Though the place is small, it had everything you could possibly need including being surrounded by so much to do. We kayaked the river, drove to Fort Ross, explored the vineyards, had delicious seafood in Bodega Bay as well as Guerneville, a fire in the large fireplace at nights. The property management company was wonderful to work with. We will come again!

We enjoyed our recent week at Johnny's Landing very much. The cabin is adorable, and while small, all of the space is very well used. There is nothing missing. The deck is very large with a great river view, and hot tub is in good shape. We spent hours sitting on the little dock on the river, or the bench swing at the side of the house. "Peaceful Setting"

5 of 5

Cabin was very nice, very clean, and everything was very functional. I think it is time to replace the mattress in the room though, it has seen its day. The yard contained our dogs well although they could hop the fence if motivated. We didn't discover it until the last day, but there is a public right of way just to the east of the cabin on the highway, just west of the bridge, that leads down to a nice river area where there is plenty of room for the dogs to swim. Loved the fireplace. Don't expect to access the river when they dock is out - I think the underbrush between the river and cabin could use a clearing out as well so there would be better views of the river but not sure who controls that. Check-in was a breeze. Overall the cabin met all of our expectations!

Wonderful to hear about your great experience. Come back and visit again soon! -rkl

This is my first time renting a vacation house, and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, orderly, and functional everything was. The cottage is all wood, very well heated in every room, and cozily decorated. The hot tub outside is perfect! It overlooks the river and is surrounded by trees. It sits on a spacious deck with a new set of wooden patio furniture and umbrella. The gated front yard is very spacious, and my dog loved sniffing around the front and out back where we sat in the hot tub. "Enjoyed my week on the river *so* much!"

5 of 5

From start to finish, I had a great experience renting Johnny's Landing from Rrgetaways. After browsing their offerings online, I called the office for more information and was guided to this house, which was absolutely perfect for my getaway with my dog. I used the kitchen quite frequently, and the cooking gear was fine for a vacation week. Great BBQ on a lovely deck that overlooks the river. I used the hot tub every day too. My dog and I jumped in the river off the dock, and we also took a paddling trip with Russian River adventures. It's a short drive to the dog-friendly beach at Monte Rio (south of the bridge). We had a lovely, relaxing week and look forward to returning next summer.

"Perfect homebase"

5 of 5

We loved this house on the river. Just close enough to town for short drive or even walk. House itself was very tasteful and endlessly charming. Stairs to the river dock and kayacks were huge plus ... not sure we can ever stay in Guerneville again and not be on the river! We enjoyed entertaining friends at the house and cooking dinner in the small but decent kitchen (normal by NYC standards). We took day trips to several wineries, enjoyed armstrong Woods, Rainbow Cattle Company, Coffee Bazaar and George's Hideaway. We didn't want to leave. In fact, this is exactly the kind of house we'd like to buy in Guerneville. We will visit again.

"very sweet bungalow"

this is more like a place for a couple. i came down with three friends and the place is very cozy.. unbelievably adorable just small. lets just say, we really got to know each other over our stay.. everything about this place is great, the fireplace, hot tub, tiny kitchen, dock and deck. we loved it! would go again, only with my boyfriend and maybe a day guest or two.

"Relaxing"

The cabin was wonderful. Great for the wintertime with the fireplace and hot tub. Town was a little sad but we had a wonderful dinner at boon and visited a lot of nearby wineries.

"Pitch perfect!"

This is the first place I've ever rented that I didn't want to hide half the furniture in the closet. If I owned a cabin, this is what I would want

we had such a wonderful time here. we must've arrived at the coldest time of the year, but the cabin was perfectly cozy with a large fireplace, and the hot tub on the river and under the trees was a total charm.we had a wonderful relaxing time at johnnys landing - we will definitely be returning again!

"Cozy cabin, kitchen was disappointing"

3 of 5

This place was neat overall. critiques:We were planning on doing a lot of cooking on our little vacay, but the kitchen was like an efficiency with a dorm-room fridge and all. We really couldn't cook what we wanted in that tiny kitchen. The bedroom was so small, we could barely fit the Pack N Play for our baby without having my husband have to climb over me to get in and out of bed. We didn't have space for our bags in the room at all, so we kept everything in the living room. Not very convenient. The hot tub and ambience were awesome. Very cool. Also, the fenced yard was great for our dog. Overall we were happy, but though the place was a little overpriced for being so tiny.

"Peaceful setting"

4 of 5

Overall the stay was wonderful. There were a few issues, 3 piles of old dog poop that we had to clean up, BBQ didn't work but the office sent a lady over with charcoal & lighter fluid which was very nice service & the neighbors dogs barked allot the first night we were there. I also didn't like the cow hide on the floor in the living room. As an animal lover, that bothered me.I don't think I would rent this particular house again but I would go through Russian River Getaways again & rent another property as their overall service was excellant.

Manager Response:

We require that guests clean up after their dogs and our cleaners check for this, but sometimes it gets missed. If these folks had called us, we would have sent someone to pick up the mess for them!

"Perfect Birthday Getaway"

5 of 5

Very rustic and classic cabin. Was a perfect place to relax and enjoy Russian river views. The squirrels and blue jays kept us enternained for hours. The hot tub was just what we needed and the accomodations were perfect. should write a bad review to make sure it is available when we go back, and go back we surely will, but to be fair, we will give someone else a chance enjoy the cabin also. Very dog friendly fenced front yard with easy cleanup. If the cabin ever goes up for sale, give us first notice! We would recommend this place to anyone. RRGetaways is always very accomodating to us and provides great service. Booking online is a breeze. The houses we rent are always clean and kept up well. The area around the Russian river is beautiful and Guerneville is a great place to shop-everyone is always so friendly. Have recommended other people to book with RRGetaways and they have always loved the experience.

"Perfect for two and dog."

4 of 5

We had such a lovely time. It was a great location for two. I'd go back and rent this same property in heartbeat. Tiny Kitchen but otherwise well appointed and WHO CARES about the size of the kitchen when you have such a perfect back deck and a dock on the river to lounge on anyway! Clearly the owners have dogs as there were all kinds of smart ways to contain our dog in more managable spaces.

"Cute Rustic Cabin with modern flawors"

5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying at Johnny's Landing for few days. It is beautiful old redwood log cabin. The deck with the hot-tub, which we used nightly, was just beautiful to watch the stars and the redwoods. We enjoyed having our breakfast and dinners on the deck. The Extra refrigerator was great addition outside. We also would have enjoyed the kayak's, had we had time to use them. We took the little plastic boat out for a ride on the Russian River, but it was too difficult to row with the children's rows (Perhaps next time we would find a adult size wooden rows? :) The Johnny's Landing Log Cabin is ideally located outside of Gurneyville downtown, just a biking distance. It is tuck away for privacy, with river access. The owners of the cabin had added cute useful little things that you might need when away from you home comfort We will be coming back again very soon.Thank you,Taija and Stephen Aguirre & Aalto - He really like the front yard ,

"Great Experience"

5 of 5

My wife and I needed a weekend away really bad - we wanted secluded, nice place with a great outdoors immediately available. We also needed a place where our fast-growing, but still a very much puppy dog could feel comfortable. We got that all in Johnny's Landing cabin: easy river access, very private deck with a hot tab and grill, warm and cozy cabin with a fantastic fire place. If you want to find serenity and comfort, especially if stress level goes out of control, this is the place for you.
